Is this who we are now?

A club with fans who hope that the players are ticked at their manager so as to fake an illness to get him sacked all to help us win?

Not trying to be any sort of way- just don't want to win if it has to be like that.
Yeah I’d be happy with that.

Don’t care how we win or why we win just as long as we win. Especially against this **** of a club.

16 was enough last season, but only on goal difference.

Looking more and more inevitable that 17 points is the magic number in this new format.
It feels like there have been less draws this year and so it might take 17 rather than 16, or 16 with a very good goal difference

Im sure we will come out very motivated to make it up to our fans for the horror show against Celta and we might even score first. But this Madrid squad is a structural mess and for the players its impossible to stick to instructions for 15, let alone full 90 minutes, and not resort to playground football. Now with the injuries were even lacking that individual talent needed to bail us out. Vinicius is a headless chicken and Rodrygo is completely toothless and off form. Neither of them is a pick by Xabi, who btw has seemingly lost the dressing room in his desperate attempts to come up with an impossible balance between giving players what they want and getting them to follow his ideas.

Theres a very bad atmosphere at the club right now, so I'm pretty sure unless a miracle happens we will lose this one and Xabi will get fired. Positional errors is how the current Madrid brand of football can be described. I expect a nice 4-1 drubbing for City.

You were building up my hopes nicely there and doing well writing in a language that's not your own, but a drubbing for City is very different from a drubbing by them, which is probably what you meant.

But thanks anyway. :-)

Anyone think this will be very hard or fall for this all these players supposed be out will have falling for the Madrid Media bulllshit they like to spout!

Madrid at there’s with the referee in there pocket they can pack the bus and just have Mbappe up top and beat us! We have to be perfect to win!

I don't care what happens in this season's Champions League to be fair. Bread and Butter all the way for me this season League Cup FA Cup and the Prem will be the main aims

Play a weakened team or a mix and match team without Haaland Foden Cherki doku
Haaland Foden Doku all looked done after the Sunderland game. Do we need them running on 50% ?

Pep will rest players 100%, City need to get some game time into Marmoush Bobb Ait-Nouri Ake Khusanov Lewis Savinho Trafford
No chance Pep rests many or even any for this. Firstly the CL is important, secondly even a point tonight is important, and third the biggest threat to our PL chances in early 2026 is having to play 2 extra games in Feb? because we didn’t take RM seriously in Dec

TAA
Militao
Hujsen
Mendy/Alaba
Camavinga
Mbappe

Those 6, probably start in their best lineup, so they're definitely weaker.

They're still Madrid though, so of course their back up lineup is decent.
Yeah, shame Arnold is out though as i was looking forward to him against Doku

Not Real mate. It was Pep showing a total lack of brain with the Bayer Leverkusen line up and those selected players letting him, and us down BIG time.

That's why we will be landed with play offs again. We won't get anything at Madrid tonight. I am totally fed up of playing that team away at that place with the biased reffing that goes on. I'd have felt we might get something if it was here.

And as for these games being fair, how come none of the other British clubs get them every season??

Well a hangnail technically is an injury, but I’m certain the big baby will make a full recovery for the game tomorrow.

Didn’t they play similar mind games in years past?

I don't think it's just a hand injury, I think he took a big hit to his knee versus Celta and played through it.

Still not convinced he's definitely out but all the talk from Spain is he won't be playing.
