We have brought all these new players in ready for this rebuild , I would just like Pep to show it now and make some braver decisions. Phil must start over KDB just do not see it. I even think Grealish will get the nod over Marmoush if Haaland is good to go up top.
I think if he starts the same team as the weekend and we go out (but don't get battered) people won't be too bothered as it'll show we're moving forward. If he starts Gundogan, KdB, Foden and Lewis then this site will crash.

Let's face it, on current form they're better than us and Bellingham is head and shoulders the world's best central midfield player. They are littered with world class players from goalkeeper to their forwards - and in Vinicius Junior they have player who was cruelly overlooked for last year's Balon D'oR......and on present form is a shoe in for this year's honour.

Take 1-1 right now and move onto the Dippers game...
Fuck bellend and fuck Madrid

Looks like Bernie's playing then.
I'm happy about that, he likes playing against them.

Ederson

Khusanov
Stones
Dias
Gvardiol

Gonzalez
Bernardo

Savinho
KDB
Marmoush

Haaland

3-1 to us.

COME ON CITY!!!!
I think this may be the team , he might swap out Khusanov for Ake unless Khusanov plays on the left of the three at the back

This still allows Gvardiol to play high and wide and we go back to a 3-2-5 when have the ball

So Rodri didn’t deserve it?

Mods.....Warming.....3 match ban.

We’re getting knocked out, which is probably for the best, but I am a bit more confident that we might go out with a bit of fight.

We need to play Marmoush, Khusanov and Gonzalez. Those lads have more than earned it and frankly they’ve shown up some of our established old guard since they came in. I was so proud of the new boys at the weekend.

This is like a final group game. Win to make the last 16, lose and go out of Europe. That's all it is.

Knocking them out is a huge boost but putting more pressure on this game isn't going to help our cause. That's when mistakes are made or when fatigue reduces our ability to see the game through.

Tell the lads to leave it all out there, shut the crowd out and play to our strengths. Don't worry too much about the occasion.

Even if we don't get the job done, it's a great experience for the likes of Khusanov, Nico, Marmoush, Savinho and Doku and let's them know the levels for next year and beyond.

I'm really positive about our chances. We will respect them but I feel like the team will find a way to get the job done.
I'm also feeling good about our chances, but I still maintain that every game has the same significance, and should be treated as such.
Maybe the players also treated the group games as lesser events - like you suggest they are - and this unprofessional approach is what allowed the collapses against Porto and Feyenoord?
Surely you can agree - those 'they're only group games' are what put us in this position?
If we win the FACup, that scruffy win over Orient played just as big a part as whoever we beat in the semi...

I am not confident that we progress but I am more confident that we can put up a fight. I hope we go and try and blow them away with direct, quick attacking. We can't rely on us defensively so gung ho may be the only way to go. If we go out fighting I can live with that.

I'm quite the realist when it comes to football, and defensively, despite the result at the weekend, we're in a bad place. But all it takes is reading any one of the 172 fawning madrid articles on any website for me to be fucking up for this. The british media obsession with these cunts is bizarre and perverse. Come on City!!

I’ve got a bit of hope after weekend. Still big under dogs no doubt about that but stranger things have happened. The rags beating us in the cup final springs to mind.

I don’t think us going through would be a problem now with the new lads and plenty back from injury. I think we’ll piss top 5 and expect us to get 3rd. Just hope he doesn’t make too many changes from Saturday.
