Real Madrid (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

I said Rodri would be on his own in midfield tonight and i was more than right. Bernado talked about the small details? Well he made one fukin huge cockup tonight. Thick as shit.

Aside from that, Khusanov motm for me. The guy just oozes effort and heart and isnt to bad at defending either. Doku took it to them aswell. Cherki tried his best, The rest? Painfully hard watching umpteen chances go begging.

5-1 against this current madrid side is woefull.

not even sad about going out, just frustrated because we were genuinely the better side tonight with 10 men, had enough chances to score 6 and just couldn't finish. Real are an awful team and we should've dismantled them. The red card killed the tie, with 11 men we win this comfortably. What hurts more is what Pep did in the first leg, that's where we really lost it

Proud of the lads.

Proud of the fans

Embarrassed by the matchday thread

Embarrassed by my WhatsApp group.

Fucking hate that fucking horrible vinis Jr what a fucking wanker he is.
I haven’t been anywhere near the match day thread - I rarely go near it these days. We have quite simply the weakest, bitterest, most insecure fanbase in English football. Bar none. These days I find myself actively despising so many City fans. Give me a room full of United fans any day of the week. They’ll talk more sense and know so much more about the game in general.

Now the away goal rule has gone, is there an advantage to playing home second leg?

They were able to build a commanding lead at home and kill the tie.

I know the daft line up did for us last week, but win the first leg at home and it's a huge advantage for any team.

I enjoyed that in a kind of way. We played some nice football, even when down to 10, and created plenty of chances.

Bit of a shame to concede so late on but it didn't really matter in the end. The game was really lost in the first leg and then again when Bernardo was sent off.

Gave it our all and played well. Proud of the lads and the fans.

Keep playing like that and we'll be fine.

We battered them but couldn't score. Uefa needed their moment and produced the red card when they were on the brink of getting bum violated.
Fantastic performance given most of the game was with 10 men.
Madrid always coast when they are comfortably ahead though..no need to be bombing around 3 goals up...that pen fked us..we would NEVER have got that

I thought we showed heart tonight after going down to 10 men, we gave a good account of ourselves with 10 players.

The damage was done last week and we had an absolute mountain to climb tonight.

Khusanov and Cherki in particular tonight were fucking immense.

PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE FOLD THAT LITTLE PRICK VINI JR, He's a fucking scummy ****.

I don't think we would've made the comeback anyway, the finishing wasn't good enough.

Wow. Big call.

Some giving praise for the performance with 10 men. Why do we always seem to have some sort of blow up in this competition is the question we should be asking.

The tie over the two legs was a disgrace and a what not to do in the champions league.

We fought til the end. Khusanov needs a statue for that heroic performance. He’s an absolute warrior. Fuck Madrid. Let them have it. We only do big trophies like the Carabao Cup.
