Thought we were the better side even with 10.

I’m gutted we’re out but I actually thought that’s the best we’ve played from an attacking perspective all season. Made pure chances, just couldn’t put them away.

Thought Khusanov was outstanding. Going to be the new Zaba cult hero.

We’re not a million miles away imo. We need a proper RB, a proper CM and another goalscorer. Can sort that in the summer.

It will make a difference if they are replaced with better players who are the right fit.
 
Such a shame.
Story of our season we can’t put the ball in the net.
Not a lot wrong with our play tonight.Not helped by their goalies saving everything sent their way and the relief Madrids players and fans showed on their goal showed they thought the game wasn’t over at 3-0.
Lukaku aside I really don’t think we get any luck in this competition not that we should need luck if you believe in it but hey this club should have won at the least 2 more Champions League titles with Pep.
It’s never been straightforward with this club has it and that’s why we love them.
Disappointed but proud of them tonight.

Not sure what that weird first half of your post means but the second half means you don’t know anything about football.
 
First part is You cheering on united in other threads.. but backfiring as right up our arse…. Second is soo easy they beat us 5-1 without there best players and could/should’ve been 8-9 over both legs!
 
thats the last UCL game il be going to either way from next season onwards, made that decision a few weeks back about dropping it from what we signed up for.

shite treatment from our stewards trying to get in, left me very angry.

On the pitch, we did very well, no regrets, ref performance was dreadful

And who would those be? We're not moving on Semenyo. I would agree that Savinho should be moved on but - we just gave him a new contract. We missed our chance on that one. I'm assuming Trafford is probably going to be looking for the door after getting shafted. If you're talking about ruthless, tell me who you're talking about.
 
Just got in. Not seen the game back but I thought we played quite well. We had one hand behind our back after the first leg, but after Bernardo got sent off and they got the pen it was game over. Considering we had 10 men for about
70 mins I thought we gave it a good go.

I thought Khusanov had a great game. Cherki & Doku were decent too.

We can focus on winning the PL now!

Not one player (except Ake) who on the pitch at full time has ever won a trophy for City! Pep gave our new generation a lesson in how to never give in tonight!

Kushanov, Ait Nouri, Reijnders, Gheui, Cherki will all know that they outplayed Real Madrid with ten men, but still were not cleaver/disciplined/experienced enough to go through. Tonight will have shown Pep who will die for him! He took Haarland off to save him, but also wind him up!

Phil Foden should be leading this team now, he hasn't got an ounce of fight in him! he has had the following players to guide him since he made his debut!

Bernardo Silva
Fernandingo
Gundo
KDB
Rhodri

He couldn't give a shit!

Not one City fan would pick Foden over Kushanov now!

Kushanov gets it, and will be devastated tonight! Kushanov is just like Zabbaletta and will stay at City for years!

Foden will be sent out on loan next season because he cant be a leader!
 
This tie was pathetic. Especially first leg. The line-up and the play... To lose to depleted Real Madrid. This was the second tie in the Pep era when the RM were better (last year and this year). 2022 and 2024 were epic choke jobs by City as it often happened in the Champions League. 2025 and 2026 Real Madrid were better.

Na fingers don’t count. It’s only up to armpit even arms don’t count.

Only legal playing body parts (head, legs, feet etc..)

It’s alright bro we fudged it… was hard once they had a 3 goal lead but the red early fuked it… at least pep had the foresight to rest some players in second half for the final on weekend.
