Well they arguably had a day off on Saturday too.

Less than Arsenal who created fewer and conceded more chances vs Everton but got lucky.

If anything, that was one of our best 2nd halves recently minus the finishing. The players ran quite a lot and fought for the 3 points. Shit happens. We played much better than at Leeds or vs Forest.

Not really.

There is very little, if anything, can be coached into the players this close to the game. Rest and eating properly are more important at this stage.

I’d wager this happens a lot at most clubs.

The referee, nicknamed "Mr. Penalty" here in France because he awards penalties at the slightest contact.

Could also just be the case that he has the balls to call a foul a foul, wherever it happens on the pitch.

As a slight aside on one of the West Ham game corners Haaland was waving to whoever was taking it where to 'put the ball', player taking corner lifted his hand for a pre-arranged move (I know) which wasn't whatever Haaland wanted and Erling just did a forget it move with his hand.

TBF there are so many scenarios that can play out. A 3-0 scoreline in europe had been recovered many times in the past. It's unlikely given our poor form recently but not impossible.
