Likely to have their entire first choice back 4 missing going off their game tonight, it will be a combination of midfielders in defence and kids for them. If Pep doesn't just go for it and unleash the attacking threats we have, it will go down as one of the worst tactical decisions we've seen.

____________Ederson__________

____Akanji____Dias______Gvardiol____

________Kovacic___Stones________

Savio________KDB__________Doku__

__________Haaland___________
The Lesser-Spotted Doku? I’ve heard tale of this showy but elusive predator…
No place for Bernardo? He is kryptonite to Real Madrid.

What frustrates me is that we do not sit deep enough like we did a few seasons ago. The change from inverted wingers to outside wingers is the difference. This is directly noticeable through Grealish playing on the left; He now always chooses the outside option when he used to choose the inside option when Mahrez was on the right.

————-——Ederson———
Akanji—Stones—Dias—Gvardiol
—Bernardo-Gonzalez-Kovacic—
—Foden——Haaland—Marmoush

Tough on Savinho, could easily get the nod over Foden or Marmoush.
Be tempted to throw Khusanov in, but would probably just about go with Akanji.
Tactically, the question would be whether that midfield can get enough good ball to the front three.

He rarely plays anywhere to be honest.

Savinho has to start before either Foden or Marmoush on current form.
