Based on the season so far, 8 or 9!How many goals do we need to win this first leg by, to leave you confident of qualifying?

To draw though requires fit hungry players harrassing closing the man with the ball early. Sort of did it once v Chelsea but they "aint no Madrid bruv"! I don't think our midfield will make 10 succesful passes between them sadly. If they swarm us, then Haaland, Savio, Marmoush will run against their makeshift defence with plenty of space to exploit. Doku may be ready too. He could destroy their FBs.
If Atleti can draw there, we can do it too, as long as we don't have further injuries. Currently, it's 50/50.
Not like you to be the one to find something depressing to post FordyI really hope Gonzalez is OK, one report on fb said he felt something snap and told the medical team that. We have fuck all luck with injuries
Keown is the worst of the worst. The bile he spews and clear hatred of us makes him unbearable when our team's involved!. Wait till Pep retiires and there's a pound note to be earned by these "pundits" on the documentaries "Oh he was a genius though, good for the game etc" you can see it now..the leeches!According to Mr Frantic-Boggle-Eyes Keown, it was apparently Arteta in goal for us on Saturday...

If we had valverde in our midfield we’d be setWe will easily complete 10 passes vs. Real as they ain't Liverpool and Arsenal pressing wise. The downside of having so many stars in attack and midfield is that some of them do not like to work hard off the ball. Valverde is one that runs a lot but he is likely to start at RB where I hope he will have to deal with a proper dribbler like Savinho and then Doku. Valverde is a very complete player, but I doubt he's good enough at RB to stop Savinho/Doku.
Akanji hasn't played a game at right back for what, a year at least? He has played Nunes in big games at right back. I know you can't really second-guess Pep because he could do anything at any point, but i would've thought Khusanov would have had some mins at right back in the cup if he was in with a chance. I'd def start Akanji right back, but something changed in our style where Pep just doesn't see it as viable any more. You can't know something that isn't likely to happen. Many expect that Akanji or Khusanov will play at RB, if both Dias and Stones are fit to start.

The thought of Akanji at RB against vinicius makes my heart sink a little. This is where we will really miss the Walker of the last 5/6 years. I remember Fernandino playing there a few years ago when i think Walker was injured and Vinicius had a field day. Hoping more than expecting tomorrow is not similar.Akanji hasn't played a game at right back for what, a year at least? He has played Nunes in big games at right back. We've battered them and edged the tie every year we've played them in my opinion. But they've won the tie more often.
2:2 under Pep.
19/20 City
21/22 Real
22/23 City
23/24 Real
4 wins City, 1 win Real, 3 draws. It sucks that it's 2:2, given that they have won only once in 90 minutes
GD 15:11 City.
I've thought about all the possible ways this might go tactically and ultimately have come to the conclusion that we might be able to win the game this week, but are very likely to be knocked out once the game ends in Madrid. This one is up to the footballing gods. We've battered them and edged the tie every year we've played them in my opinion. But they've won the tie more often. So it's time for us to be outplayed and take the few chances we create whilst they squander several and we qualifer
