Real Madrid post match post mortem

Not going to lie, it’s fucking frustrating going out to these once again after dominating them for 110 minutes.

You just knew what was going to happen after that De Bruyne miss near the end of the game.

I’m surprised we didn’t go all out for the win during extra time though. There was only going to be one winner in a penalty shoot out.
 
I would have thought Gvardiol and Rodri would be ahead of Bernardo for a pen.

That said given how shocking we are at penalties in open play its probably about time we lost one. Rather this than against Liverpool in the cup final.
 
Sometimes you loose when you don’t deserve to loose. That’s what happened tonight. No point getting on anyones back, it’s just one of them nights.

Disapointed but will get over it fast. We are nowhere good enough this year to justify winning the treble and yet we completely fucking dominated the team that will most likely go on and win it.

Couple of the subs were shambolic and the penalty situation is a tragedy for a squad as talented as ours. We can hardly scramble 5 okay-ish penalty takers together, and our keeper hardly ever saves one
 
Really proud of the lads tonight.
Not particularly keen to see Madrid go on and win this though. I’m in the anyone but Real camp now, for what little I’m bothered.
 
We need to fire whoever these set piece coaches are ASAP. You CANNOT have close to 20 corners and none of them amounting to anything.

Also our defenders are not great at header , Kompany and Otamendi were great headers of the ball compared to the current lot
