Don't see this happening at all. He doesn't have the qualities to play wingback. Seems to be a semi-popular opinion based on little more than him being fast. Defensively he doesn't have what's required, he likes to take risks, commit defenders and go by them, he wouldn't be able to do that anywhere near as much with nobody behind him to cover and we'd be badly exposed on the counter attack there. Not sure his fitness levels are there either, his sprinting style is in bursts and he seems to take a few moments to recover once he's had a sprint, and throughout last season he tailed off towards the end of games fairly regularly, that wouldn't be allowed at wingback. Some of these issues could be worked on reasonably easily if Pep really see's that as an option but i'd be surprised if we saw it. I think it's limiting his talents in that position and in a 3-5-2 he's more likely to be seen upfront than at wingback.
Also, against teams where we are dominating i don't think we'll see 3-5-2. I suspect it will be used more in the opposite games where we're perhaps not as dominant like away to the big teams as it gives us a bit more defensive stability. At home to a team parking the bus we won't need 5 defenders, we'll have a back 4, an extra man upfront and still have the fullbacks bombing on.
