Just wanna stay positive and it’s hard to this season. Ederson made some good saves but I think his heads in Saudi and good riddance if he’s making suicide passes like that. Kev was a shadow today. Hospital balls and don’t think he completed one pass. Rico Lewis shouldn’t be near that first team squad. Everyone else gave a good account of themselves. That midfield is like watching One Foot in the Grave.
That Madrid side was there for the taking and that goes to show how bad we are this season. We’ll be lucky to finish 10th

Message to Pep. Please stop being stubborn and playing your favourites when they’re letting you down. I don’t know how many more times we have to experience that but I think I enough is enough. Some of them aren’t up for it and fair doos, let them leave in summer but stop subjecting all of us to that shite every week now.

I agree but I don’t know what we are going to do anymore. Game management has vanished, Nico not up to speed to play a game like this but we need him there and fast. By 60 minutes we are somewhat non existent in these big games, legs have gone, opposition bringing younger fresher players on where as we aren’t and we get run through. Tonight I thought our experience might be getting us through and then once again it’s a huge error that occurs.

Needs a huge rethink by the summer, teams are just staying with us to the hour mark, going up a gear and we are cooked both physically, but more alarmingly mentally.

We were never going to win the competition, so it might be a blessing further down the line. Thought we did alright for spells, but that front three were always going to cause us problems. Focus on top four and the FA Cup and go again next season.

Madrid was the best team and deservedly won, and they should have won by a bigger margin than 3-2. Tie over.

Another last 10 mins horror show. We seemed determined to make mistake after mistake. Ederson was particularly bad but Stones also kept trying to give it away. Stupid mistakes keep costing us and all our hard work gets undone.

Haaland took both his goals well and we defended reasonably well until Akanji had to go off. Typical luck this season. We've been struggling to get a fit and settled defence and when we finally have them all fit, then who had managed to stay fit the most gets injured. It was a shame Grealish got injured as he was playing well until point.

I thought KDB was really poor today. We know he doesn't have the legs anymore but his passing and crossing were woeful.

We worked hard and perhaps deserved a bit better but really if we're going to make those kind of mistakes, it's going to be difficult to beat any decent team.

Still, we know what we need to do. We simply need to go there and get a win. As unlikely as it seems, it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
