Real Madrid post match thread

Like I say , he can kick a ball with such accuracy that he could land it where he wants it to land. But he chooses a crowded midfield? Doesn't even kick it wide or long into the corner? Something isn't right with him in my view.

He mis kicked it. It obviously wasn’t deliberate l. We needed a third. It wasn’t about a result in 90.

Ederson’s clearance literally kicked the stuffing out of us, then we simply could not shut the game down, as the subs were meant to do.

We are simply incapable of putting our foot through the ball and hoofing it away with seconds on the clock.

We looked brilliant from 19-40 minutes. Rest of the time, they felt on top and very dangerous.

Pep had everyone available except Rodri, and it looked like it at times against one of the best teams in the world.

But, we are SO fragile and nervous at times, and living by our wits and by the skin of our teeth.

Result takes all the air out of what could have been an outstanding result and Haaland grabbing a couple of goals.

Big game at the weekend now, because this could be a “3 big losses in a week” run, putting the CL in the rear view mirror and Top 4 in doubt, with Liverpool and Spurs Cup Final up next!!!
Have to agree with that . I'd say we were very good from 70 minutes onwards until the frequent cave in.

Yes ,wr are pretty average this season ,but what makes players make so many individual errors every game and totally collapse from winning situation??this is not only legs have gone shit , this has to be something deeper.

There's nothing deeper on it, most of our players especially the old guards are just tired for try hard every single season. Now they have achieve every major title for the club, what's the point of try harding again ?

Let's got honest guys we are a team in transition let's get over it well beaten tonight if we're all honest could have been a lot more summer coming more fullbacks young legs in midfield and we'll be back again
Pretty pointless if we don't bother playing any of them.

Worst take of the game I've read so far,

Only 4 pages in though so someone could post something worse!
What's your take like?

The performance looked to you to be full of energy and intensity?

Akanji and Lewis have had good seasons?

Or it's right to leave £180m of new signings on the bench in the middle of our worst season in years?

Don't know which take you disagree with, feel free to add your opinion.

Yes for sure Grealish. Akanji, yes. Was Ake hurt? On Paramount+ they were saying that his substitution was planned from the start.
Paramount+ managing our team now!

Ake has hardly played, everyone was surprised he started, he was never going to play the full game.

He hardly plays 90 minutes when 100% fit.

He’s not good enough or tall enough to play in my son’s U’11s team, let alone playing for City.
If he’s the future, maybe we’d be better off getting sent to the national league.
He's not tall enough? Bernardo?

I think he royally fucked up tonight, but he's obviously talented and only 20. And supports his club. Get rid though nah.

Hopefully Gonzalez will be fit for the 2nd leg and Ake will hopefully be a bit more match sharp. Khusanov and Marmoush might be a little more up to speed too.

We know what we need to do and it's far from impossible (although not exactly likely). It would be lovely to knock them out on their own ground on penalties but would prefer a nice 2 goal win within the 90 mins ;-)

It's not time to give up yet.

It’s over for this team sadly.
They just all hit the wall, burnt out, legs went in the same season.
Ederson Walker stones gundogan de Bruyne Silva are all finished.
No ability to see a game out anymore.

We were blessed not to concede 5 tonight, but at the same time gifted them their goals with stupidity

Long way back and to rebuild.

Yes.
Tactics.
Formations.. ect..

If players are fucked move them on.
If players are tired on 60 sub em..

If the oppo are cutting through us change it tactically..

If your asking my opinion peps fault.

He's too fuckin stubborn.
Teams have moved on tactically and he won't.

Oh... And ederson... ****.
Tactics and playing style have evolved. Pep hasn't.
