I get the buying of Philips because 9f his England displays, but Kova & Nunes especially baffled me. We knew who both were & neither partcular impressed me before their arrival.

With reports of City making an unsuccessful approach the last window for Florian Wirtz, my hope is we've learned lessons. Now we've no choice but to go big to replace Gundog, KDB & to finally get cover for Rodri.

Whether Nico Gonzalez is the answer remains to be seen, but at least he's closer to the "potential" profile we should be looking at. For KDB & Gundog, we need ready made replacements now. We've left it far too late to have the luxury of buying players to bed in over a season or two.
