Anybody who's regularly seen Pep Guardiola manage teams for more than just last year will recognize there is no notion of a starting 11 as we typically understand. The guy rotates players heavily, and the guy also tweaks formations perpetually. As evidence, in his last season at Bayern he had 100 different combinations of starting 11 in the Bundesliga.
The only worthwhile thing we can do is to look at our squad and perhaps wager on what might constitute the 'best balanced 11' from our perspective for different formations.

Pep has used other formations like 2-3-2-3, 2-1-4-3 etc. with great effect at his previous club, but currently I can't see him using just 2 defenders in the BPL (although won't be surprised one bit if he does).
