If they had had a decent replacement lined up I am sure the same wheels would have been kicked into motion. The fact that we seem to know that Sunderland were making a 'decent' offer is typical of this tactic. Mario unlikely to fit in amongst a team of "fantastic character" that is "a football family with a great history"......... With a manager that is " superb superb" or alternatively is a massive bellend.
Bitter sweet. I laughed when I read the report of Marios own goal, would have loved to have seen it. Within him is still a genius of a football player, one that we will probably never see. The Italian National coach could not get the best out of him, Mourinho, Mancini now Rogers.
