In essence, he's doing nothing wrong and is doing the job that is asked of him. The false nine in this formation has to be able to receive the ball and hold it up, have the passing vision to find his running teammates and finally, be able to create space for himself and shoot. Tevez does all of this brilliantly and if he had another striker at the side of him, drawing out opposition defenders to create space would be a much harder job to achieve.
I think he's been average this season so far, and 1 point out of 6 v blackburn and sunderland shows our attack isn't working.
