Got my shirt this morning and what a disappointment. The material of the shirt is no where near the quality of the last umbro shirts. This shirt has been made on the cheap!!!

The quote "this shirt has been made on the cheap" is totally untrue! The truth is if we were to get the same material as the past 2 years, every stripe would have had to be stitched in. Look at the 3rd shirt from last year! The red and black sash is stitched together and this would have to have been done on the new away shirt making it extremely uncomfortable to wear. The material used for our new shirt is just as pricey and the "cotton feel"
I said on this forum ages ago that they couldnt make a stripe shirt out of last years cotton feel shirts
But It isn't as good quality as the cotton feel shirts from the last few shirts though.

I agree that the material doesn't feel as good etc, i disagreed that the shirt was made on the cheap. I got mine yesterday and really like it but do wish the material was "cotton feel" mate

That's exactly right, stripes on a shirt are very hard to produce and impossible to replicate the feel of the white third strip.

Anyone else think the Etihad logo would look better in white?

I think it would as the lettering for the name and numbers are white, if we were allowed gold lettering, the gold Etihad would look better than it does now

I just think that the Etihad looks yellow rather than gold, it just draws attention to itself rather than the shirt. Love the gold Umbro logo as on the white sash kit though.

Maybe we just just spoilt with the cotton material shirts. By the way the shirt has grown on me and I do like it now even the gold lettering

Looking at the shirt threads looks like both shirts appeal more to the kids than the adults. Be interesting to see how they sell, I bet its the worst ever year for shirt sales.

Aren't red and black kits normally end up with poor sales?
If so, added to the fact that most people don't seem to like the kit (I'm still undecided), sales will be ridiculously low this year for the away kit

Yeees,mine arrived on saturday morning...

.....while i was asleep after a night shift,
bastard, got to wait till monday to collect it,
fuk u parcel force, chap my door louder ;(

don't know what to expect though, judging by the comments on here,
it looks 50/50 that i'll like it.

Picked the away shirt up this morning,
wtf is all the fuss about, well nice imo.
Asked for a 44",perfect fit, looks class to me.
Someone mentioned the sleeves are long,(on the short sleeved)mine's are ok.
Well worth £45 into City's coffers.
(and my Zippo lighter is as cool as fuk)
