Mauritious is the most beatuful place I've ever been, plenty for kids to do too.

Just recently been completely upgraded - it's essentially 5* at 4* prices. Premium brand, huge cocktail list. Downside is that activities are limited with it being Maldives, but the facilities on the island make up for it. Go for a seaplane transfer as it makes you feel on holiday from the second you get to the Maldives, like an extra trip.

Also has jacuzzi villas, cigar lounge, jacuzzi part to the infinity pool, complimentary sunset cruise where dolphin sightings are frequent, stingray and heron feeding, sand bar where you can watch the stars on the beach at night and loads more.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.kuoni.co.uk/en/holiday/indian-ocean/maldives/accommodation/pages/kuramathi-island-resort.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.kuoni.co.uk/en/holiday/india ... esort.aspx</a>

If you do go, try their B52 'shot'. Two shots contreau, one shot kaluha and one shot baileys. I had one followed by a Grasshopper after lunch one day, getting back to the room was a journey and a half!

Mexico, ri
Realy good hotel and mexico is ace should get sorted for less than 5k easy.

That's First Choice and over £6k

meh guess we are getting in to school holiday time of year then.
Mexico also seems to be getter more expensive mainly because its ace.
Other options that maybe cheaper any riu hotel are to a good standard.
Been to the riu mambo in the dominicon is good and should weigh in cheaper.
Avoid cuba and and sol hotels they stink!

Use teletext holidays to get a rough idea what hotels destinations are cheap then use the official sights to book.
Thats what I always do.
As for hurricane season i have been carrabean in june and july no issues.
Few tropical storms in the evening that last about 1 hour and cool the place down. Not sure its a big deal.

Egypt is a place we've considered, but we know plenty who've been and ended up with the runs.

Going late July 2012 so that rules out the carribean because it's the hurricane season.
All inclusive would be good, but open to all ideas.
Must be a beach holiday suitable for 2 adults a 15 year old and 13 year old

Absolute max spend all inc £5k

Thank you in anticipation of some great suggestions

Why spoil it with that sentence [sob].

However if you have an open mind, the best holiday I've had in a lifetime is the French Alps in summer via this website: -

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.alptitude.com/index.php?page=page0&season=summer&lang=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.alptitude.com/index.php?page ... er&lang=en</a>

The cable cars are all open.
Italy and Switzerland only a short drive away.
Really nice climate and chalets/apartments.
There are beaches available at places like lake geneva and lac de montriond.
There is also so so much to do and enjoy.
Morzine is typically alpine in terms beauty and quite cosmopolitan.
