red dippers after our glorious win

Reading alot of comments from other fans on various sites today and most label us as "boring city" where i bet most havent seen us play.

I know we can be too defensive at times but Boring City have scored 4 more goals than free flowing attacking Spurs. When you think that we are utter shit at set pieces also and hardly any of our goals are from them then it leaves goals from open play.

They also say Spurs dominated the game, well if going into a game needing to win and keeping possession between your back 4 most of the game counts as dominating then fair enough. Both teams had equal amount of chances.

Anyhow, ho cares what others thinks, these days we will be dammed if we do and dammed if we dont

I agree with the lovely lads and lasses at Liverpool. They've always based their success on hard work and investment in their youth policy. Their success has always been hard earned and hard fought.

Back in the day, kids from Toxteth, Sefton, Old Swan, Huyton and Knotty Ash always knew they could escape the drudgery of their existence by having a trial at Liverpool. The list of homegrown, youth talent they brought through the ranks is extraordinary:

Keegan, Dalglish, Rush, Hansen, Souness, Riise, Reina, Suarez, Rodriguez, Hyypia, Barnes, Clemence, Neal, Kewell...

All good young local lads who required neither transfer fee nor wages.

Salt of the earth that club. We should take note.

RAWK is a joke.

Not even RedCafe is as delusional, because, I hate to say it, they actually win enough titles/trophies to not be classed as delusional.

Ask a scouser on RAWK why they're actually title contenders, and half the time you'll just get the whole 'because we're Liverpool' talk. The same Liverpool that havent won a title for 20 years, and who've failed when an established top four team to crack the title... and before any lurking RAWKers say that was because of Hicks and Gilette, you had like 10 seasons of spending cash and failing before they even turned up.

RAWK goes on about Liverpool FC and fans having 'class' and 'history', and a world famous club (wont argue the final two points) but have to make a point here.

Is this the same 'class' that made Anfield famous for stanley knives in the 70's, the same 'class' that saw them rob every European city they visited blind, the jibs into grounds without paying? Causing the deaths of the Italians, and have the staggering cheek to hold up a giant mural a few years back saying 'Friendship'... which quite rightly, the Juve lot stuck thier fingers up to. Not even a 'Sorry' was held up, just a self righteous 'Friendship' in Italian. Unbelievable.

And as for Hillsborough, you would've thought they'd learn thier lesson seeing as the buildup outside the turnstiles caused the disaster. Nope, they were at it again in Athens for the final they lost. Dont believe me? Youtube it, and you'll see it.

Such 'class' hey RAWK. I could go on and on all day long, but I'm on my dinner break at work and have to end this post soon. And no, my 'work' doesn't involve me trooping off to the jobcentre to sign on.

As for City fans being shit. I've been to Liverpool away loads of times, seen when your lot come to COMS, Maine Road, on the tv at European aways, and I can confidently say that we are a far louder and better bunch of fans. Murmuring along to YNWA whilst holding up banners and scarves doesn't automatically make you the single greatest, most awesome, fans to ever live.

Don't know why I'm bothering to write such a long post. The majority of the posters on RAWK, and in that thread, aint even from Liverpool, or very rarely go.

Joke of a club and a complete joke set of fans. Enjoy whinging about your 'history' and so called 'class' on an internet forum boys, because we won't care, we'll be enjoying the success that's coming our way. And even if we dont get success, we'll be there in person and having a laugh along the way.

CTWD

Long post??
But every word true and a jem

Enjoy your lunch now you have that off your chest ;)

it's "Maine Road" ya fookin' dullard............ don't stoop to the enemy's levels of spelling..........

Dipperpool fans ARE FUCKING SCUM!
This club that they fucking bang on about had ALL English clubs banned from Europe, that's a part of their fucking history they don't bang on about.
Small time fucking town, jealous of it's big brother city that is Manchester. Every scouser that made it big couldn't fucking wait to leave th shithole they call home.
I can understand antipathy towards other clubs, but what irks me is when it is based purely on something that their club is guilty of, buying players. They have bought title after title for years so what is different now? That's right it's them dirty jealous thieving bastards.

Another thread generalising a group of fans and sticking them all under the banner of 'delusional' or 'uninformed'. Surprise, surprise.

Believe it or not, not every fan is like that, not even close. I watched the game with a Liverpool fan last night, and he was hoping we'd win. He said he thought Liverpool had practically zero chance of 4th, and he didn't expect us to lose to both Stoke and Bolton. He said he'd rather we beat Spurs as it gave Liverpool a chance to get in Europe and he felt after what we've been through as supporters we deserve Champion's League.

He's happy, actually he's ecstatic, that they've managed to get back in the driving seat when it comes to the last Europa place. He said given the season they've had he thought Liverpool were slipping into mediocrity but Europe might help salvage some of the winning mentality and give them a realistic chance of regaining a top 4 spot next year.

He doesn't 'expect' top 4. He doesn't believe Liverpool have some divine right to it. He just wants his team to do well. Like we do as City fans.

Why can't everybody stop this hatred of huge swathes of other supporters? Just take every fan on their individual merits and stop banding them into massive groups.

Manchester isn't really wonderful though, infact there are no English cities which are particularly nice. The countryside is where its at, slack jawed yokels, and cow pats, all the way.
