Red Star Belgrade away.

Exactly the reason why I didn’t go although I would love to visit Belgrade at some stage but not when there is football on
I went with Wales back in 2017 and it was largely great. We were behind a Perspex screen guarded by riot police and held afterwards too but I understand there wasn’t a shred of trouble.

My suspicion is they’re targeting the English as usual.

It's mainly non-football-related. There are elections on Sunday, and the run-up always brings the thugs onto the streets. There were no problems when Spurs or the Dippers played here in recent seasons.

Also, one of the Wales away supporters' key organisers is based in Belgrade, and is well known/respected in the football community here. When some young Serbia fans stole a Wales flag, someone more senior ordered them to give it back, which they sheepishly did.

Glad the rascals gave back the flag, sheepishly...

The facts from Queens Bar are as follows;

3 Serbians came to the door. One in broken English shouts “big fight, big fight, don’t sit, if you’re hooligan come out and fight”.

A little pushing and shoving at the door trying to tell them to go away. One City fan dragged outside the door to an awaiting ambush (40-50 Serbians head-to-toe in black with face scarves and masks). Friend of City fan goes to try and save his mate and gets it too.

Barman called Police. They maybe took 8-10 minutes to arrive. 2/3 City fans needed treatment for head injuries (glassed or weapon injuries).

The window was a double pane and only smashed on the inside, not the outside, so it was a City fan who did that with an ashtray (?). There was no brick through the window from the Serbians.

City fans held inside for about an hour while Police Forensics photographed the scene. There were 10 yellow number markers places on the ground beside evidence. Mainly baton handles.
Utter bollocks, especially the last paragraph

My hotel is only 100 yards away and once the Police cars arrived, the locals ran off,.and anyone who wanted to leave (myself included) calmly left the scene.
The object was thrown from the outside,.and only just missed a young Irish family, the youngest of whom was around 12 years old.
No debate whatsoever

As for the fight, there must have been around a dozen women and kids (plus a few locals) in the pub, and it only got physical,.because one well known City "character" had heard enough from the gobby masked coward
