I heard an interesting story about 'Arry....

Think back to when he was hotly tipped to take the Newcastle job after Allardyce was sacked.

Let's say that Ladbrokes were offering 3/1 on 'Arry taking the job.

'Arry knows that he is not going to Newcastle, so he (through an intermediary) lays superior odds on Betfair, say 5/1.

Loads of people stick money on, as the Betfair odds represent the best value on the market.

They all lose and 'Arry takes all their dough, probably enough to cover the mortgage on his Sandbanks house.

That is only part two of the story. The real alleged 'sting' was when he went back to Pompey. Denied flat out that he was going back. So did Mandaric. Huge amounts of money traded on the market with his odds shooting right out after the denials (lies) until 'clever' money suddenly appeared to take them in suddenly.

It is alleged that several people 'in football' who may or may not have a connection with Old Arry did very well out of this. Whether this is true or not, who knows?

Harry though later said he 'didn't know what Betfair was' and can't work a PC. Despite being involved in previous promotional work for them. LMAO.

Go on the Betfair forum and ask for opinions on the Portsmouth manager market (and the Newcastle one) and their conenction to Mr Redknapp. You will probably get a few libelous answers.
