Since they won the lottery (2004), 3 PL titles, 4 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 1 CL, 1 Europa League. 13 pots in 10 years (not counting the Community Shield). Averaging over a trophy a season; I could live with that.

Why is it now such a given that Chelsea will win the league? We have it all in our own hands and I for one believe it will be our title. I prey I am right because Chelsea are a team full of players much like Barcas in that you breathe on them and they fall over. Please don't listen to Redknapp he can't even string a sentence together and often gets his facts wrong - so he doesn't exactly speak sense does he?

Not arsed about his comments except for this talk as tho we're out of the title race. He's just a massive knee-jerk in general not just with City. In his mind, if someone has a good game or merely scores a goal he can suddenly become a world class player etc.

How much have Man Utd spent recently? Where are they?

City played catch-up with Chelsea and utd in an era when a Fellaini costs £30m.

If you look at the spending over the last years then Utd have spent more. And this Summer the journalists are talking about Utd spending over £100m. I bet nobody will talk about Utd's transfer spending next season

It's just Sky's and the media's angle at pandering to the bitter armchair supporters.

I was at a sportsmans where his dad was speaking, when he suddenly gave away his fee for the night of £2k to charity. What a great gesture I heard said, except they didn't know he pocketed £8k in cash as well

Forget about his money comment. I agree wholeheartedly with what you say but the fact is a squad like ours coming away with only the league cup would be desperately disappointing. (Me saying bang on the money may have crossed wires)

Money's that families god mate,
 
We may have the best squad but we are in a season of transition with a new manager, playing a different system and not all of the squad have adapted. Most of the squad is not his choice. He is learning about English football and about the capabilities of his players. There are more teams at the races this season with Arsenal improved, Chelsea getting stronger under Maureen and Liverpool surprising everyone.
I think there will be some further recruitment in the summer as Pellegrini puts his stamp on the squad and we will kick on next year. I will be disappointed with only the Capital One cup but it is certainly not a failure.
