This is Chris from Hamburg. I registered here when my team played City in 2009. From that day, City is my favourite club in England, as we met a lot of friendly people. I was impressed by your hospitality. Also Hamburg is like your farm team, with three of our former players playing for City right now. I visited Manchester in December and watched the Villa game in the stadium together with other Hamburg an City mates.
So, Reeperbahn. Yes, been there - about 200-300 times. ;-)
It truely is a crazy place every weekend with 30.000 to 50.000 people partying and drinking everywhere. There are lots of bars and discos around Hans-Albers-Platz and Hamburger Berg without entrance fee. You might have some problems to get in there with about 20 people though. May be you should get into the discos before midnight, when they are not that crowded yet.
Many people from the UK start their tour at the London Pub http://www.london-pub.de/ at the Hans-Albers Platz, just in case you miss your English ales. I like this place a lot.
Herbertstreet is close to the London Pub as well. It's really worth walking through. YOU DEFINETELY HAVE TO GO THERE. Lots of beautiful girls are sitting in the windows. But be careful. Unless you don't want to spend a lot of money, don't let them "talk you in". They will tell you 50 euro at the window and they will charge you 150 or 200 euro when you're inside ( No, it's not a personal experience of mine ;-). If you are interested in this kind of experience better go to "Paradise Point of Sex" near the street Große Freiheit. They will just charge you 50 euros. Of course I have never visited this place. I just heard some rumours..... ;-)
