Ref for Burnley

Burnley should have had a player sent off for blatant handball on the line before aguero poked the first home. Advantage or not that was a sending off...not one pundit mentioned it.

It's not a sending off anymore,do keep up in the colonies.
 
Nah, it would only ever have been a sending-off for denying a goal-scoring opportunity, and it didn't.

Rule change. The free kick is now taken from where the offence was committed (ie where the offside player tried to play the ball) rather from where he was standing when the ball was played. Not your job to know that, but it is the job of the BT commentators who made the same mistake.

As I read the new law change if a penalty is awarded then you haven't denied a goal scoring opportunity, results in a booking double jeopardy or something.
