Ref for Liverpool

Can't see a problem with his handling of the game. We should look closer to home for reasons for our clusterfuck.

I wouldn't blame the ref for our shocking performance, but I would blame him for his shocking performance. WTF was that about when he played advantage for most of the second half and then when the Dippers hadn't netted another two he decided to bring it all back and give them the free kick. It was the longest 'let's see what happens here' advantage I've ever seen. He is clearly overweight, never up with play and fits in rather well with the rest of the whistling wankers who stomp up at PL grounds up and down the country.

When did Milner turn into such a prick by the way? Clinical fouls , kicking the ball away every chance he had and basically refereeing the game himself.

Not the refs fault we were so shit, but even so some of his decisions were awful, many others merely highly dubious.

Was that not a foul on Sagna when he was dispossessed for their first goal? He certainly blew for fouls (both ways, in fairness) which looked very very similar.

Two very strong penalty claims (one only a minute or two after they scored their first) turned down.

The inconsistency with which he applied the advantage rule was incredible. At one point he let play go after a Liverpool foul through a couple more passes from the right hand touch line u till play was nearly in the D. Then when they lost possession he took it back for the foul, like they do in rugby. Whereas when we were attacking there were a number of times when he blew for the foul straight away and did not allow an advantage to be played.

Did nothing about obvious, persistent and deliberate time wasting.

Apart from the ref, the liner at the north end in the first half was dogshit. He was miles out of position for both their second and third goals. For the third, he was about five yards behind the play, and given how tight the offside calls were (especially the third goal) firminho must have looked offside from his position. He didn't give it, and the tv camera wasn't the best but showed him about level. However if you're five yards behind the play you can't get the decision right - he was guessing.

None of this excuses how badly we played, but if you are having a shit day you are still entitled to fair and consistent refereeing. We had neither.

My only thought is foul on Sagna by cuntinio for the first, he knew it was a foul for some unexplained reason he decided against it

To even begin to blame any of the officials for the result and our performance on Saturday really is churlish.
We got exactly what we deserved and it was nothing to do with the referee in any way whatsoever.

Not really.

Until their first goal they looked content to try and contain us, the foul on Sagna helped give them the lead, and the initiative. It got Klopp up and marshalling them to win every 50/50, nobody knows what would have happened had he given the foul. That not an excuse, because how we reacted to the goal was shocking stuff, for 10-15 minutes we went into panic stations. That goal should never have happened though, because we should have been taking a free kick towards their goal.

We were shit and that covered up his bullshit performance.

I'm glad someone else spotted his one sided advantage rule too.

I can't stand that guy, I've never seen him having good match. That said, we wouldn't win if SM reffed it.
