It was the difference in his implementation of the advantage rule for both sides that really did my head in yesterday.
A bit surprised they didn't show these on MOTD last night. We would have had cause to complain because Fernandinho had his arm as close to his body as he could have. His lower arm was actually across his stomach and he never appeared to use his upper arm to control the ball. Handball has to be deliberate (although that definition has been expanded to mean that you must be seen to be doing whatever you can to avoid it) and Fern's wasn't. Davis, on the other hand, moved his arm towards the ball deliberately as you said and should have been sent off plus we should have had a penalty.I could understand the Fernandinho one not being given as I don't think he moved his hand towards it, but if it was given I don't think we could complain too much.

He made some awful decisions both ways. It's natural to concentrate on the ones that went against your team. For me he was just incredibly inconsistent and the big decisions he had to make he got very wrong. The penalty and subsequent red card for City was the worse of the two decisions for me as Davis moved his hand towards the ball. I could understand the Fernandinho one not being given as I don't think he moved his hand towards it, but if it was given I don't think we could complain too much.
