Ref for Swansea

One of the worst in the PL, and that isn't feint praise, he was bloody awful.

Contrast with the referee we had on Tuesday night in the CL, who was excellent imho.

He blew up several times for fouls that didn't happen. He really confused me, mind you he did when we played Wet Sham

I agree Wes, especially that one in the second half were he could/should have given them a free kick in the Centre Circle but he waved to play on. Only then 10 seconds later to give a very soft free kick when we win the ball fair and square.

Nobody calling the ref bent this week then? Kind of felt sorry for him today in truth. He's clearly not up to the required standard, He's like the bar staff in the south stand at half time. someone who's not had enough training thrown into the deep end.

It's a gimmie.

This advantage thing is pissing me off now. It's happening too often. Is it an instruction from Reilly to pull up any advantageous play we may have?

Be intresting to see if it continues in our next match.

He was exactly how I expected him to be.
Sunday league level. The guy was a complete "mare".The worst one for me was when Yaya broke free (second half) and the Swansea lad tried to pull him down from behind.Yaya shrugged him off,the fucker went down and the free kick went against Yaya !! WTF,just one of numerous incidents today that should see the Adjudicator give him some fucking poor reports.

David Silva was being hacked to pieces. No protection or bookings from Ref. City players booked for God knows what. Result is Silva subbed early to protect him and our players not going in for tackles. This is contributing to our injuries and performances and has been going on for a while now. Maybe not conspiracy theory but shows how the media agenda filters through subconsciously into the game at all levels.

This thought of Tuesday's Dutch referee crossed my mind more than once during the game. I don't know what Law book Madley is using but some of those decisions were just incredible. I think he had a remote control whistle that was backfiring quite often. As a PL game refereeing performance it was abject. There were decisions at which the only conclusion you could safely arrive would be that he was trying to screw us.
