Ref for Utd (h) - Sunday

He did red the final well. Same thread every week and true to form every week they are all against us.
He didn't ref the final well at all though? Poor decisions against both sides but basically reaffirmed what most of us already knew - him being a bottle job.

I'm at a loss who they're all against, as each clubs fan forums are of the belief refs and the media are out to get them. Unless they're just out to get everybody?

You are correct and you would think the fact every forum thinks the same might trigger some introspection. Sadly not.

The current crop are getting big decisions wrong every week and have done for a couple of years, you never know which team that will favour but we have had a few bad calls this season and this ref has been one of the worst,is it too much to expect the team of officials to get it right between them, there is 3 after all

Judging from this thread part of the forum think he is a bottle job the other half think he will stitch us up by following the wishes of his paymasters. We cannot even get a consistent consensus of his failings.

That's because different people think different things. Like yourself.

I'll just stick to my own opinion of him which evidence backs up. He's a bottle job.

Unless they're after some more than others

but if he's a bottler in general, surely that can go either way then? And with us being at home maybe that means it will go for us rather than against us? It is he only a bottler against anyone who plays United?

More analysis of decisions, the game getting faster, more cheating make it an impossible job.

Yes of course it's impossible to expect them to get every decision correct. They are making literally hundred of split second decisions with little chance of reflection and required to fully concentrate for 90 minutes. Some people criticising I doubt could concentrate on reading a book for ninety mins

I don't want a referee who's scared of making big decisions in charge of a derby full stop. It's not much to ask for in what's supposed to be the best league in the world. The fact there's a chance it might favour us just makes it more depressing.

It's their job, they are experienced in football and should be getting the big calls right.Oliver has recently been afraid to make big calls,if he is not giving pens then he should be booking more players than he does.I watch virtually every prem game that is on the tv as i have a lot of time to fill and the standards are currently very low

If it's any consolation three things;

1 - They're all shit. At least you'd think so given this thread slags everyone of them off pre match.
2 - United fans hate him
3 - It's not Clattenberg (who is good when not cheating but I've had my fill of the twat now).

So what if it's their job. It cannot make there eyes work any better, see things differently. It's a near impossible job.

Over the season so far, we've probably had more good calls than bad, I'd estimate giving us 3 or 4 extra points, so if we get the odd bad one it's just evening it's self out.
Eh? Fancy listing those favourable ones that would give us the extra points against the 'odd' bad one?

This is correct. I don't think people understand the refs aren't on a birds eye view they're eye level amongst players moving very quickly. I listened to Poll once who said a fair percentage of decisions are made on what they've heard rather than seen, as the game is just too fast to catch everything by sight.
I think people will only ever appreciate how hard it is if we had a few games where a ref used a go pro. Then every single fan of e wry single club who believe their own club is a constant victim will see it's simply just refs being human - and making mistakes.

I'd love to see that experiment get done.
