Thought he was terrible for both sides & probably lost the plot near the end of 1st half. 2nd half there were atleast 2 occasions when Saints layers stopped a quick counter-attack with no card

They were the most stonewall yellows you’d ever see, awful reffing to not book their players for it. Blatant pull backs stopping counter attacks. Shocking.

He certainly was. When they found out that he would give them a free kick for the slightest touch they milked it and went down like they had been poleaxed.

Because he’s the referee. You often see the referee signal for a throw in either way the the linesman put his flag

Tbf I thought he was equally guilty of giving soft free kicks against both sides. Seemed to be ‘stop start’ particularly in the second half.
