Ref Watch

Halsey on Talkshite now saying dippers goal involving the handball in build up should have been ruled out using the exact clause of the rule from the IFAB protocols.

He's called out Spitty for defending it as a dippers fan.
Would love to show a pgmol referee Trent Alexanders handball against us which lead to Fabinhos goal or his latest one against Leeds and then compare it to the Gabriel Jesus, disallowed goal against Spurs a few seasons ago and get them to explain how they came to the conclusion that for TAA there was no handball in the build up, while for Gabriel Jesus' there was.

LOTG had a different interpretation for our goal. Wasn’t right then and still haven’t got it right

You are underestimating their ability to rationalise any decision using new terminology when it suits. Exhibit 258 - No handball when jumping in a congested area. All the ref apologists are using that one now even though we have never heard of it before ....

This handball and LaPorte’s actually never proved handball.
Still angers me that but nowhere near as much as fecking Rashford’s offside gggrrrrr!

The French! (Spanish) ref is doing okay in a tough game with a huge amount of appealing.

Bit hasty with the red card, but immediately changed the decision.
Happened to be in the perfect position to give the penalty.
Right to book Gundogan and Kimmich - has to crack down on the first set to, and between the captains too!
Ederson yellow - difficult to say, depends on whether there were warnings.

Tuchel may explode before he's sent off.

Tuchel was sent off, how is he allowed to go sit in the crowd.
Because was sent off to the stands. They’re sent out of the technical area. It’s always been like that. Famous pictures of Wenger trying to find a seat at Old Trafford when he was sent off once.

Thought the ref was very good today, I’d happily have him again. (He’s only following uefa rules on handball which are wank)
