Ref Watch

Any it seemed there was no noticeable VAR investigions with any of the goals. I wonder what the actual situation was for people there or watching on TV.
Pretty clear at the time there was nothing to check on any of the goals- I guess they must have had a quick look at the penalty decision but there was no protest from the Fulham players. And there was a brief pause after Delap’s disallowed header but it didn’t need lines to measure the offside

Thanks. From the radio it all seemed as it should be or used to be.
It's the times they seem to search around for angles that suit them that get me.

The only protest came from Danny Mills, who thought it was too soft.

The ref is Australian and this is his first year in the PL. Obviously not part of the Corrupt Ones yet. I think in Oz you can hear the on field and var regs talking. Perhaps one of the Aussie blues can confirm?
I believe he is only here until he completes Uni course. Then it's back to Oz for him

I am wondering if l am imagining about ref to var communications being available to watchers in Oz.

The ref definitely prevented the restart, then after about 30 seconds signalled it was fine, so it was at least checked.
Think the VAR worked fine yesterday. They showed a couple of quick replays of the penalty and it was quickly apparent there was no clear and obvious error.
I was chuffed when Delap scored but just one replay showed he was just offside.
If it had been Rags or dippers they might have tried multiple ways of making him onside but yesterday worked fine.
