Ref Watch

Every challenge on Foden they left a bit on him. Especially in that 1st half and of course the dipper fan did nothing about it as we expected when he was appointed. Lots of guesswork from the officials on whose restart it was for when the ball went out of play.

Ref's also need a better understanding of what constitutes advantage. When an attacking player is taken out but their team retains possession it shouldn't automatically be play-on. Certainly not when the attack is left with a 1 vs 3 or 4 defenders.

They know what they're doing.

There was a piss poor foul on Phil first half, three passes later we lost the ball, he let play go on, then when play stopped booked the player for the foul, he should have brought play back as we gained no advantage.

He was everything I expected tonight, luckily we are too good for them.

The Romero challenge on Ederson is a red card, no? Chat about “entitled to go for the ball” only works if you can realistically get the ball (he was behind him) and you’re not endangering the opponent (look at Ederson’s face post-match). There was a reason they took so long to show a replay. It was a filthy, cowards challenge. Apt by that shithouse.

Spot on.

Early in the game he gave the softest of free kicks to them when Haaland won the ball and was potentially away to score.

Then Phil was kicked from pillar to post and Kev was lucky not to have his Achilles torn to shreds at one point. He let them get away with plenty of nasty fouls, but in the end we were just too good for them.

Did he speak to Son about Bentancur just before he got took off?

Bunch of dirty bastards, always leaving one on us.
The player quickly being subbed is always the telltale sign. He was on a booking and then left one on Dias. It’s another yellow and therefore a red. The ref is there to enforce the rules. He is not there to “have a word”, let things go and not “spoil the game”. Do the job you are fucking paid for.

He’s shit and lazy position is poor and refs with an agenda Once we were 2:0 he changed the way he saw things giving us the fouls that he hadn’t earlier because by then it didn’t matter I can’t recall a PL half ending with not a least one minute added

How the fuck was there only 4 seconds injury time at 0 0 half 1, and then 10 minutes in the second half at 1 0? Rhetorical. How the fuck did we get as many yellow cards as a filthy spurs side? The **** set his stall out early when Erling won the ball fairly and was away but he gave them a free kick
Yeah, that foul against Erling was definitely contrary to his tolerance levels of quite a few "robust" Spurs challenges. The Bentancur caution should really have been a red. Very dangerous, could have caused serious injury.

Didn’t look a foul at the game, just watched it now and it definitely was a foul. Hadn’t realised but Haaland was through 1 on 1 in the third minute if that’s not given

Shockingly poor. Most teams would have lost their heads at the challenges we had to deal with and the game would have descended onto a violent free for all with several red cards.

Sums up his incompetence that in the incident that saw Eddie seriously concussed with a potential orbital bone injury from a rash dangerous challenge he gives the thug involved the same sanction as our goalkeeping coach who was understandably irate at the lack of protection for Eddie.

The game as a whole followed the similar pattern of those games a few weeks ago when there seemed to be a tacit agreement to allow opponents to commit dangerous fouls on us unpunished early doors. This one differed in that it was allowed to continue as long as was necessary to injure our lads.

The only surprise was that neither Eddie or Ortega were booked for the fairly mild time wasting they engaged in.

What was telling was that Foden, the recipient of five or six fouls that could have been punished with a yellow, gave a thumbs up to the referee when he got a yellow himself.

The players know when they are reffed fairly.

Did their best yesterday with Olivar refusing to accept zjesus handled in build up to Arsenal's winner.

Just seen the arsenal winning “goal”. How the fuck Oliver can say that wasn’t handball is either breathtaking corruption or breathtaking incompetence. For either of those he should be removed from the Euros and sacked

According to the LOTG if the ball is either kicked or headed by a player and the ball then goes on to their own arm, it is not handball unless the ball then goes directly into the opponents' goal or the player scores immediately afterwards. I can only assume that as he has missed the handball and the ball went from Jesus to another player and then Haavertz scored, VAR can't then intervene despite it being handball. I can't think of another reason.

He blatantly controlled it with his arm, that’s handball surely?
