N.Wales is absolutely riddled with Scousers, especially around the border with Chester and along the coastal areas.Disgusting, but did you hear all the Scouse accents?

Ive been saying exactly this (awayers) for a fair few years… its consistentThere used to be a lot of talk in the 50s of refs being 'homers'. We never seemed to get one, and over the last few seasons I've come to the conclusion that we get a lot of 'awayers'! When we seem to have the game sewn up we can have a player slammed onto the deck that jolts the ref into a simple arm wave and 'play on'; we breathe on an opposition player and there's an immediate free kick. It's not imagination, no blue tints to my prescription lenses, but there were at least two body slams at weekend that didn't register on Oliver's list of penal offences.
Anyway, he was fucked over by Howie Redshirt for not chalking off the perfectly legitimate second goal! No Christmas card coming from the Oliver household to Howie this year!
Nah, West London for sureDisgusting, but did you hear all the Scouse accents?
As the parent of a ref, my lad and fellow officials are predominately seen as the enemy and one only has to read some of the uneducated comments and vitriol on here and elsewhere regarding officials to see they have an uphill battle but I support him unconditionally. We moan about the hatred stirred up in the press and media about our beloved club and how it has and will cause opposition fans to target us but then the same happens towards officials and that's ok to some. if people had a dog in the fight or knew how hard it was they may have a rethink .As in refereeing it's all about opinions/Surprised violence against officials isn’t more frequent, given the rhetoric that is used these days.
Referees have always had abuse, but social media has ramped up the vitriol against them.As the parent of a ref, my lad and fellow officials are predominately seen as the enemy and one only has to read some of the uneducated comments and vitriol on here and elsewhere regarding officials to see they have an uphill battle but I support him unconditionally. He loves it, the more challenging the game the better for him he says but my hors d'oeuvres are through the roof ha ha. He refs open age adult football with no liners and technology to help and is expected to get every decision right but the players can make as many mistakes as they want without being put under the spotlight. Got to the stage where he is going to have to miss the odd game to officiate and we go every City game so that was the only thing that would have made him stop. Re fans respecting referees think we'll all be 6 foot under by then but knowing laws of the game would help cos plenty are clueless to them.Referees have always had abuse, but social media has ramped up the vitriol against them.
Armchair fans armed with 12 replays from different angles in slow motion have decided that reffing is easy and any wrong decision is either corrupt or means they aren’t competent enough and should be sacked.
I hope your lad sticks at it, if it’s what he wants to do, but would totally understand if he just called it a day.
It’s never going to get better for him or any ref. All decisions against their team are noted for further use.
Do you have any ideas as to how to get fans to respect referees more?
Sounds like it’ll be a shame that he’ll never be able to ref us.He loves it, the more challenging the game the better for him he says but my hors d'oeuvres are through the roof ha ha. Did tell him " You do know you'll never ref an FA cup Final ha ha"Sounds like it’ll be a shame that he’ll never be able to ref us.
Perhaps its time for you to start supporting Altrincham…Did tell him " You do know you'll never ref an FA cup Final ha ha"
