He was actually one of the better referee's (which I appreciate isn't saying much), and I'm not sure he was actually 'binned off'. I think he'd just had enough of the way it was going, and reading between the lines he was probably right to go when he did.
I have been to a couple of referees meetings with Keith. Honestly, he is very bitter that pgmol went for Riley over him. He was probably far too honest in his assessment of the batch of referees at the time
Referee's need to stop "managing the game" for the entertainment of the punters (be that in the stadium or on TV) and just apply the Laws of the Game. It's what they're there for after all.
