Criteria not in the law
Running, yeah it’s football players run, walk and jot
Did his best, irrelevant and can’t be fold his arm in?
Miss hit shot, irrelevant it was on target and his action gave the gk a better chance
Getting hands out of the way ( failed )

It’s you who fails to grasp reality and the application of the law

Saw it in real time and every replay from each angle makes it more certain

Finally I’m reading the law and wether I agree with it is irrelevant unlike yourself who is invering criteria It like saying he didn’t mean his toenail to be offside

I think, tbf to everyone debating this, it is the law and its interpretations which are causing all this nonsense.

The law was originally written, presumably, to stop people picking the ball up and running with it.

At some point people started touching the ball to gain an advantage and so the law was changed to deliberate/ accidental. Fair enough. Completely subjective and led to many angry debates I am sure but, at least, easy to explain.

Then some jobsworth decides they need to explain what constitutes deliberate so they include making your body shape bigger. Complicated and completely subjective stuff.

But then another jobsworth decides they need to explain what making your body bigger means in relation to natural body movement.

So now we have at least three subjective criteria to look at. It's a mess and it has led to even more angry debates because everyone thinks they understand all the nuances of what is now an even more subjective law.

Football is a simple game. For the love of God, keep the laws simple so the people paying to watch it can understand what the fuck is going on.

And it was definitely a penalty :)

That was a deliberate act of violence, never an accident.

Clearly the officials are not up to the job demanded of them and City should kick up a stink.

They won’t of cause as we as a Club are far too passive with our approach to the governing bodies, PGMOL and the media.

That doesn’t even include the number of fouls where the ref plays advantage when we still have the ball

Today, all our fouls (7) were for soft as shite challenges or not even fouls, and I counted at least 2 occasions when Wolves fouls (11) should have resulted in an automatic booking, not including the over-the-top leg breaker on Bernardo.

It wasn't weak refereeing though. It was more like he was under instruction not to dish out any cards. It's another one of those games you could easily believe the on-field referee was not fully in charge of the game.

How anyone can look at that tackle and not think that was anything but a sending off is beyond me.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I've just recalled, he didn't even give it as a foul?
No need to correct you mate. You are indeed correct.
I posted on here during match thread that was just more corruption in plain sight and if it had been one of our lads making that tackle a straight red.

This shows just how professional PGMOL are:-

Can’t even do the basics right as a registered company.

How the fuck do those useless cunts deserve income of £33m? Also 30% higher than previous year, inflation busting pay rises? Never knew clowns were so well paid.

Edit - just seen the foul by Ait Nouri on Bernardo, checked who was on VAR and now realise why it wasn’t a sending off

referee and linesman closest to North stand was fucking clueless. Watched Forest v Brentford last night, who booked every fucker to this who should of booked a few including KDB
That was a great foul by Kev to prevent a counter attack.

Couldn’t see the Bernardo challenge from the back of SS3 but when I saw it in the pub after the game couldn’t believe that one, Bernie was able to finish the match, and two, that wasn’t a red on review.

Out with that shocker, the ref did the usual strategy of cheap fouls by us and ignoring similar challenges on us. It really is clear and obvious.

Last week: Bournemouth v Rags. Bournemouth made 11 fouls= 4 yellows and a wrong red that was overturned after the game.
Tonight v Wolves made 11 fouls. No cards and a nailed on red not given.
I checked the match stats - did they not only have 7 fouls, and we had 11?

Coming in after the protest I think I counted 4 soft fouls against us in 10-15 minutes.

Said to my son the ref will give us fuck all unless we get 2 or 3 goals up.

Just seen it on You Tube. I dare anyone to say we are refereed the same as certain other teams.
Some still insist there is no agenda. Just recently against Brighton and Forest? at nil-nil the opposition could have had a player sent off, both " missed",all the technology in the world and the same " mistakes" being made consistently hindering certain teams and benefitting others. They looked so closely for a handball against Spurs but somehow missed the handball from Spurs in the same incident. You would think that for example an artist, designer, builder etc would develop " an eye" to spot certain things in their profession that the ordinairy person might miss. Seems to be the other way around in football.

Making your body unnaturally bigger is an intentional act in itself, not the handball, that’s the whole point!

I disagree, of course. You can be attempting not to make your body bigger during a block by placing your arms behind your back as best you can, but by accidentally standing laterally in front of the ball and not frontally you can be making your body shape unnaturally bigger if your arms aren't clasped tightly behind your back.

To quote the law, if you wave your arms behind you like a whirling dervish "the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised". I paraphrased the first bit :)

Otherwise, why do you think players run around blocking frontally with their arms clasped behind their back? There is nothing natural about that position in any movement on a football pitch. So why bother?

Frankly, as I said earlier, I think the law is a complete pig's breakfast and needs to be simplified, not made more confusing with more and more layers of subjectivity that no match-going fan can possibly interpret in real time. But that's just me.
