Irrespective of taylor’s Club allegiances, the very fact that he comes from greater Manchester and is allowed to referee a club from the same area, in a high profile semi-final, should raise eyebrows and at least be a cause for concern for everyone, not just spuds fans. There are referees all over the country with no regional connection to either of these two clubs, who would be qualified to take this game.
It’s almost as if the FA don’t give a toss about looking even vaguely fair and clean.

They never have done and never will until the "Old Boys" running the FA are pensioned off. I was going to put shot but thought better of it.

So there you go, message sent loud and clear to fellow referees. You successfully shaft MCFC and get away with it you will be handsomely rewarded. Job Done.

And our next few referees will all be competing for the cup final appointment. The 'Who can shaft City the most' competition starts at Spurs.

Pure luck the CL and UEFA decide who gets through and who wins and the officials make sure it gets done.

Robbed yet again.

4 goal swing on bad decisions so far in this tie. Disgraceful. We really need to kick up a fuss about this, it's unacceptable.

2 legitimate goals in this tie not given should be 3-3 on ag or at least 3-2.
Looked like ref clearly refused to acknowledge Pep went straight to Arteta then.

Here's how Sane's goal should have gone.

Linesman flags for offside.
Referee talks to the official behind the goal. Did it come off a Man City player?
No
That's not offside then.
Goal.

Why didn't this happen?

Silva was booked for Intentional handball. Milner who handballed it was not.
