I hope these fuckers aren’t trying to stop us breaking other records

Six subs in second half, booked a player for time wasting, on at least three occasions a Huddersfield player went down and Dean stood over him but wouldn't allow a trainer on, keeper taking 25 - 30 seconds over goal kicks. Hey presto only four minutes added on. Refs are complicit in allowing teams to get away with time wasting by not adding on the correct added time. Should have been at least nine minutes yesterday as a minimum and possibly even more. Not sure he even played the four minutes as there was added time in the added time due to the idiot who ran on.
Before the board went up I said 7, he even made a point of showing us that he'd stopped his watch a couple of times, another corrupt c**t.

It was like a Chanpions League game yesterday, every little touch was a foul
Not for us, our first free kick was 43 minutes I think, corrupt c**t.

Dean's performance yesterday was a classic example of how an experienced referee can influence any match without having to give a major controversial decision that would be picked over and shown to be wrong. He couldn't guarantee Huddersfield the result and, had we not been on the beach, we'd have probably found a way through but what he did do was give them the best chance he could. Their objective was to stop us building any rhythm and he allowed them to do that through a series of soft fouls going their way but none ours, blatant time wasting and by carefully positioning himself to act as the 'extra man' to stop and/or delay passing movements. It was clear from the outset that he'd arrived with a game plan and it wasn't to help City celebrate in style.
Spot on, I lost count of the number of times he got in the way of a pass, they all seem to do it now though.

I'd love a gif of that 2nd half moment when he didn't order the Huddersfield player back at a free kick and just got in the way himself.

The first free kick we got which wasn't till the second half if memory serves he suddenly insisted on being from the exact spot, delaying us taking it twice. First half Huddersfield were allowed to take them from where they wanted
And then, when he finally got the ball in the exact spot, he allowed 2 Huddersfield players to be within 10 yards of the ball. One appeared to be no more than 5 yards away. If you’re going to scrupulously apply the rules then at least be consistent.

He was absolutely dreadful Dean as expected. In the second half Leroy ran into their box at pace and was taken out, it looked a penalty or at least a free kick on the edge but nothing was given.

Andy 'I didn't see the push on Sterling' Garrat on the other side.

That was the linesman andy garratt,he called him over and told him what happened

Yep, it was. Dean's last game where he applied the LotG as they are written! Sunday was way, way past his best before date! But he's not the first to have stumped up at the Etihad and converted all City's tackles into fouls, and ignored most infringements from the opposition. Just hope he's the last this season!

He let the celeb ref get to him,he has to be the centre of attention,we'd have lost the hudders game if eddie wasn't awake at the end

The first of those 2 late chances was a foul on one of ours, but he couldn't wait to wave play on, because he saw they had a chance to score, luckily they hadn't been practising "scoring", just kicking it out of play.
