So he was not keeping up with play? Totally inexcuseable for a Premier League official. And the Sterling incident? He saw that one.

He was ahead of play - downfield. Without checking a video, he may have been in line with a last man who moved suddenly, or been sold a dummy run by a player. Eitehr way, he was out of line, which seems to happen a fair bit.

The penalty is a totally different kettle of haddock.

Useless to rely on officials for even the most obvious decision - ffs I am considering watching Snooker and ditching football as the reffing is SO poor!

Just watching the Arse game. Looked back at the injury to Koscielny. Play was stopped for 4' 20. But a total of 3 minutes was added on and i'm sure there were other incidents that would have stopped the clock. Surely the arbiters of the game can see that the refs are just making things up as they go along. It' not even subtle anymore.

Dean gave a perfect example of how a ref can try to influence a game today.

I dont think he didnt give them a free kick at every opportunity today whilst ignoring many fouls on us, including one towards the end that very nearly gave him the result he wanted.
