How is this not a red? Shocking. For the record, it wasn't even a free kick.
If they are it's having zero effect.I hope that behind the scenes City are putting pressure on the officials.
My take on his performance was that the sending off was as simple a decision as any ref in any league in any country could ever make. It was an atrocious decision. Even Howe almost admitted it in his post match interview until he realised what he was doing.
I thought that decision influenced the game at that point and had he sent their man off as he should then all the other bookings etc would have not even happened, we would have won the game by 70 mins and probably had 5 fewer bookings and a sending off less.
Most of the bookings after were probably technically correct but he was too card heavy and the sending off is a joke of a rule for me.
As for asking questions I agree there are questions and I expect the club to be doing what they have to do on this. In addition I want to see our manager calling him out regardless of the result of that. United are treated differently for me because of how Ferguson got the refs onside over a period of time. Mourinho behaves in a similar way. Both of them ****s but it works.
My general view on corruptness? Overall I hear Scudamore saying that a successful rag side is better for the brand (or words to that effect)
I also think Sky with their rag and scouse heavy fan base are not going to upset their own Applecart.
However, I can't buy into total corruptness and anti city at all costs either.
We are also good for Sky because we play good football, our games so far have been great for the neutral.
I think we have to start making more noise about this as a club.
What would you do? What can be done? Even if you agree it's corrupt, how can anyone do anything?
Should at the very least have been a yellow which would have meant his attempt to tackle Jesus in the head later his second yellowHow is this not a red? Shocking. For the record, it wasn't even a free kick.
There's no room for logic when it comes to CityJust logged on to this thread so apologies if already mentioned but before Sterling scored they had a chance when King disposessed Mendy. I thought at the time it was a foul & I have replayed it about 10 times & every time it looks like a foul. Mendy is trying to shield the ball. King put his hand on Mendy;s shoulder & at the same time spins him around to get the other side of Mendy. How is that not a foul?
Have a look just before that. Arter goes flying in on sterling. Ref waves advantage. Arter already on a yellow.
