Just watching Argentina vs Uruguay and the ref is carrying a tin of spray paint which he uses to mark free kicks and distances.

I might be missing something here ( 1st game watched in Copa ) but has this been done before ?

It seems to work tho' !!!

They've been using it a while in South America I believe.

It disappears after about 30 seconds or so, great idea.

Let me get this right... The ref's mooching around the pitch for 90 minutes, equipped with a can of shaving foam in his pocket?
Yep and it's attached to his hip ..... worrying isn't it ?
Has he got a supply of Kleenex, in case of accidents?

pitch looked a right mess at the final whistle ;)
