Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

Yeah a little bit. I mean when people give that as their reason for voting for Reform, not just when people say that in general. Nothing wrong with thinking that the main two parties are shit and looking for a third option (even if under our current stupid system, they've got fuck all chance), but don't then pretend you're not basically picking the one that aligns with your values politically.
Thank fuck then for our current stupid system

Let's be honest, people vote Reform because they're right wing and the usual choice for right wingers is fucked for the foreseeable future because of the utter failure of particularly their last 5 years in power. This 'the main two parties are just as bad as each other' is just bullshit from people who don't want to admit that they're right wing, which is a pretty common occurrence at every election.

This idea that people are done with grifters and corruption (14 million votes for Boris, even though we all knew what he was like) so they're going to vote for Nigel Farage of all people, is bollocks. They vote for Farage because they agree with his policies.
I'm not sure right or left wing really come into it. The current uptick in reform polling is due to the tories being in a mess and labour (so far) failing to deliver any change which is palpable except perhaps taxing the accrued wealth of the boomers so gen X and y lose their inheritance. It's a difficult time for labour to try to do much in fairness - miniscule economic growth and already a historically huge tax burden so options to increase either tax or spending limited.
Yes, there will be the right wing vote that reform were getting anyway, but to become a significant parliamentary player they will need to capture the votes of traditional left and centrist voters.Very possible if starmer does not deliver and the tories remain a mess - we might have another electoral 'surprise' like brexit, Boris capturing the 'red wall' or the current labour majority.

he is happy to waste £millions of tax payers money on elections that will be re-run in a few months time all in the hope of getting some sort of electoral front page news for a day
I do hope Nigel is stupid enough to accuse Starmer of being a dictator on Gbeebies later.

The German elections may be a bit of a barometer for the shift that appears to be happening in much of western politics. Yet another 'shock' result possibly on the cards with the prospect of the afd ending up as part of a coalition government.
