Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

Some interesting polling, suggesting the "much feared" Reform + Tory vote isn't actually that strong.

This is post the local elections, and at a time when YouGov polling has Reform with a 7% lead.

That poll lead has Reform on a higher vote than the one they'd get if they did work closely with the Tories, whereas the Lab/LD/Green side, which gave Labour & the Lib Dems so many seats is a lot more solid than polling suggests.

How do these paper candidates benefit anyone. They won't turn up - they won't get involved in council work - it should be an arrestable offence

Grimes has since deleted this one - probably got warned about what happened to people tweeting last summer and didn't want a visit from the law

two things

1/ there is no requirement for anyone to stay in the first "safe country" they enter under any international law or treaty.

2/ when you copy and paste something thats in numbered segments it doesn't break down like this post it is like your cut and shut job above. Put the effort in to "clean up" somebody else's post before you present it as your own work or try having an original thought.
Just re 1, whilst what you’ve posted is correct the law in the UK treats things slightly differently

That was shite enactated by the Tories in another performative politics stunt. They were warned it took us outside several treaties which we are signatories too so we would be attempting to change international law without consultation of any of the other signatories - they never actually used it because it would have failed through court after court ending up with them being shamed.

The third country powers were introduced in legislation I think in 2004 initially. Under the Dublin agreements and whilst we were in the EU we routinely removed people to other EU countries where they could have claimed. I worked in this area about 20 years ago, which is the only reason I’m aware.

Actually the Dublin agreements have a longer history than I thought and were and EU led initiative
