Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

The tossers now state that they want to bring back fracking
AI:

"The UK is not considered a good candidate for large-scale fracking due to complex geology, higher costs, and uncertain reserves. Fracking operations have caused small earthquakes, high public opposition, and have not yielded economically viable amounts of shale gas compared to other regions, leading to a government halt in 2019".

A couple of years ago a leadng geoogist was on radio stating the only really viable fracking sites in Europe were just off the coast of Poland and Ukraine.

But who cares about experts when our Nigel is around.

The points about geology, costs, uncertain reserves and earthquakes are irrelevant. He's got the headline and that's all he and his supporters are interested in.
"Stop the Boats" - "How we gonna do that Nige?" - "Don't care as long as the Mail, Express and thickos are happy."
See "Get Brexit Done" for an earlier example. Keep things simple and don't encourage the public to think.

Fracking threat to umpteen Weatherspoons pubs.

That headline would explode a few heads.

Just watching 5 live with Nicky Campbell and its pretty clear people just cannot debate with each other, it's emotive shouting and not much else.

I've never watched it before but Nicky Campbells attempt at impartiality is truly hilarious. You wouldn't notice it on the radio as much.

Anyhow I believe there is some policy announcement from Farage later.

We do make own own laws and have own human rights act, we always have done.

Look at the main ECHR rules, every nation with human right laws has the same rules.

Being part yof the ECHR protects British citizens when in europe, also obeing a member does not stop us making our own laws and never has.

Not sure what you think membership stops us doing.
See my post 5796 on this thread

With regard to the ECHR, it was English Law that prevented the deportation of asylum seekers to Rwanda from the UK. The ECHR hasn't made any ruling on the UK with respect to UK legislation relating to asylum seekers.

We can't just leave the Council of Europe, without there being huge ramifications with regard to binding treaties we have signed over the years.

You are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think we can just walk away from the ECHR and everything will be fine.

How could the UK leave the ECHR without there being major implications for the Good Friday Agreement?
I agree it will be complex and difficult, as it seems are all our problems, but I do not subscribe to the view that it is better do nothing because it might be hard to do. It needs to be done .

He's spouting the same bullshit bingo to whip up the fools.

His desperation for "social unrest" is comical.

The riots last Summer were much more widespread, but even then, polling found that most people just didn't agree with them. Just 2% strongly supported the 'unrest' then. A few thousand people, who are on the very far right in the UK, are enjoying themselves, but his desperate attempts to persuade us that we're on the verge of a major uprising, just don't ring true.

They won’t this time either. It’s just a perpetual cycle.

The flags will stay up for a bit to show them that no one is really arsed if they’re there or not, then removed and life will carry on.

There might be a small backlash as and when some of the people that have defaced roundabouts and road signs are prosecuted, but that’ll be about it.

It’s all done for Tik Tok videos, clicks and the grift.

Chilling stuff being streamed live and in full on all our 24 hr TV and news channels. Farage's purifying mobs will coming to a street near you before too long. Makes me ashamed.
It’ll be cold and wet soon. It’ll then be time to moan about the poppy, before moving on the Xmas being cancelled.

in a sensible country this alone would finish him

"A "fallback" option could also include deporting people to British overseas territories."

Seriously, what is this shit?! Is that the last resort when he realises he won't be able to deport them to anywhere else?

Just like his beloved Brexit ideology, I can see his plans causing more problems than they solve. Plenty will no doubt fall for it though!

I missed that bit, that's gonna go down well not.

Unfortunately though that didn't go anywhere nearly as badly for him as i thought it would. The audience were obviously on side but the journalists didn't land much.

Interesting to see how it's reported on the main news as most won't have seen it.

he is talking about 100k per year. 500k over a Parliament. Are there enough vacant places for that many in

Now I. know you are trolling

The ECHR doesn't stop any nation signed up from deporting criminals back to their home nations, you are specifically talking about non refoulment, which is internationiall law not just ECHR and a proccess which will only be considered if those under deproration orders decide to appeal

In the last 35 years less than 20 appeals have been made and only 4 upheld

Could he be our next PM? Are we stupid enough as a nation? I used to think the US couldn't vote Trump in (twice).
Deport people irrespective of the danger to them. Nice.
