Wow. What fantastic campaigning. Starting to understand why some of their supporters have their dick up Trump's arse.

Farage's speech today about economic plans? Appoint people who he see's as successful to cabinet posts to run the country. Yep you got that - unelected bureaucrats ......... I thought he was against them?
Backtracking on his former pledge to raise the starting rate of tax to £20,000 a year - looks ridiculous now. Saying that the minimum wage could be lowered for young people as it's now "too high". Utter bollocks. You don't take money off people. Their economic policies are back of a fag packet stuff.

He said the 2024 manifesto was "aspirational" - funny coz at the time he said it was Reform's "contract with the people"

No idea why he's decided to make a major speech unless it was for the sole purpose of cancelling everything he was saying a year ago. It's way too early to be making economic policy - no opposition party ever does such a thing so far away from a GE.

At the start of the summer they were not bossing the polls - however during the summer shut down they identified a gap that meant if he did a presser every Monday they kept themselves in the news whilst most of the HoC were on holiday - that got them the coverage in the press they craved and as they were the only game in town it was lapped up.

I assume they are continuing that plan and trying to get their message out that way but as you say keeping it up for over 3 years when its subject to scrutiny is unlikely to remain the lucky charm it has been to date. Already today I have seen and heard take downs from all sides pointing out their numbers don't add up - indeed they are worse than Kwartengs.

They don’t have to add up, it’s only to get airtime and allow him to spout more populist stuff that could never get enacted but keeps his followers close.

I’m quite amazed how he’s tricked some into thinking he’s the anti-establishment when he and his elite backers are the epitome of the establishment. He’s even got the aristocracy in there.

Looks like he’s back to child labour laws, he’ll want them all working down the mines and up the chimneys soon, when he brings the coal mines back on line in-line with his ‘Fuck Net Zero’ policies. I wonder which big energy companies are backing that?

It’s such an obvious grift, just got to hope that enough people pay attention to their other policies and don’t just focus on immigration.

What a world we’re passing on to our children…

he is a dangerous clown. Recently in Wales he said they would reopen coal mines. Cant be done after all these years - you can open cast in some places I suppose but thats a fraction of the lost jobs and the steel works at Port Talbot will always be unviable

millionaire telling you your kid who has just started an apprenticeship is being paid too much at £7.55 per hour. He's a **** and if thats you and thats your child or grandchild and you agree with him then you are too

So the multi-millionaire, Nigel,

On a slightly different tack I find it interesting that the Banks/ Finance companies are still trying to challenge the decision to make payments to motorists under the PCP. They claim it will damage the economy. I thought an injection of around £700 to maybe around one million might provide some stimuli

Yusuf is having a mare on Newsnight right now - up against a real journalist in Victoria Derbyshire he is facing real questions and his evasiveness is epic - he is trying to answer questions he hasn't been asked and she is nailing him down - having seen this fucker in action I am sure he would even fail on the Apprentice because he cannot give an answer

Damn.
Saw his face (yet a-fucking-gain) & and immediately retired to my podcasts.

Wished I’d watched one of these slimy MFs wriggle.

Amazing how much free rein they get. Sky News paper review has the anchor turn to Reform economic policy. Both pundits hit out at Reform so she quickly turns it to a Labour problem.

That’s what happens when you end up chasing the clicks, all impartiality and real journalistic values goes down the drain.

Sky News chasing the GB News listeners, might as well be X.

Whatever he says today, a contradictory statement from him can easily be found.

He's a cos play politician, full of shit, and more than willing to take a shlilling from anyone that will pay him.

12 jobs Nige earning millions, and not a single constituent he has represented in Westminster or Brussels coming forward to say he has, as a man of the people, helped them in any way.
