No comment on here, about Farage saying state pension age will have to “rise faster than expected”

“I don’t think we can really afford to [wait to the 2040s], to be frank.
If there is a sudden economic miracle, then it might change that. But it does not look to be happening any time soon.
I don’t think the country has any choice. The state pension age will gradually have to be increased, in line with life expectancy. There is little doubt about it.”

I wonder what those who complained about the Winter Fuel Allowance, and the thought of the triple lock will say?
Equally as appalled at these comments I expect?

Personally, I agree with him. I think there does need to be some form of reform, and it should be means tested, as should the WFA.

Enjoy your affluent life, and well done for achieving your goals in life.

Personally, as a pensioner, I never resented paying for the healthcare and education of those, such as you, that needed it while I was a taxpayer, or the pensioners I supported while I was working, Your lack of gratitude is not appreciated.

I’m not sure if you’ve misinterpreted me, or my wording isn’t clear.

I’m not affluent - nor do I resent those that pay tax, or take benefits / pensions.

I’m saying that I think the times are changing and everyone needs to contribute to the economy mess we are in. The country is getting older; care is getting more expensive. This will cripple the economy going forward.

I’m 40; I already appreciate/resigned that I will take my state pension later than my Dad (or you), IF I get one at all. However, I don’t think it should just be my generation who suffer, for the spending/decisions of a previous generation. As I say everyone (who can afford it) should contribute.

Andrea is a dick - read what she wrote - no ticket but had the cash to buy one = fare dodger - being a veteran doesn't put you above the rules

The "incident" behind the petition sounds odd. Why would a ticket "revenue protection officer" refuse the money to pay for the ticket?

Farage now calling for the Chief Constable of Essex Police to resign-he really is a shit stirring ****-parliament in recess so he fills it by running his gob every day causing trouble.

Why would they need to resign, hadn’t they done their jobs and stop those who wanted to cause harm/damage?

Do Reform not want to uphold the law?

I would live to know how they would go about means testing. I agree that something needs to be done but this would be a minefield.

He's just pandering to his base-but he endangers police officer lives with his rhetoric-and of course he wants riots. He is a menace to society.
Again, another one straight out of the Trump playbook. Farage is using all these plays to gauge how well the current US administrations policies work over here. As per his Brexit influence, this is all about other rich and powerful people wanting certain outcomes, with Farage being their puppet.

And if people fall for it, don’t come complaining if they actually get what they want.
