Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

He's sitting on the fence because he's shit-scared of upsetting his orange-faced shitgibbon mate. I bet even Farage thinks it's a load of bollocks but he'll never have the balls to say it!

Also the reform and MAGA movements are converging thanks to a shit load of right wing American money being funnelled into reform & think tanks, and the anti-vax/anti-intellectualism group is one of their bigger crossovers so he has to tow the party line.

a few weeks ago Farage appeared to be moving Reform to the centre ground to broaden their electoral appeal and at that point some people were thinking that was the start of the long road to power. As you say the MAGA money is talking and when principles clash with money there is only one way he will jump plus some of that centre ground voters he was pulling in will now move away again. Faced with principles and money he will always go money because with Farage he has a habit of dumping his Party just to start another one when it suits so he'll happily do it again

and another one goes - note how little he brags about council wins these days

The problem Farage is going to have at the next GE is that those who intended to vote for him will now have a choice between him and the new party headed by Lowe and Robinson and backed by Musk. It's likely to split their vote sufficiently to scupper his chances. Thank God.

fact checked and shown up

Likely makes little difference. He was called out on the incorrect 200bn+ figure for migrants the other day, and simply said "it's probably higher".

I was reading something recently, that suggested he's got two things on his side. One is that, like Trump, people know he lies, but they accept it, so it makes little difference. They think he's the most likely to deliver what they want, so ignore the rest.

The other is that bizarrely fact-checking can make people who originally believed a fake story, MORE likely to believe it!

I'd stick Lowe, Habib, and the rest of the Advance bunch, in the same pot as someone like Chris Williamson or Laura Pidcock on the left. People who have some very ardent fans, but aren't going to cut through at all.

Robinson and Musk will be "interesting", in a depressing as fuck kind of way. I can't see either of them being able to work together for any length of time.

It's another play straight out of the Trump book.. remember his claim that immigrants were eating cats

I was listening to something the other day and they made a good point - if you fact check his numbers then it gives credibility to policy. They argued that there should be a morale and economic argument rather than arguing about numbers

What’s a few million/billion to Joe Public. If we are arguing about the cost it implies we accept the policy and we then just need to find an affordable way to deliver

They also said it seems like Labour’s message is “Farage is right but vote for us” - is that a winning strategy?

That said, the next GE is 4 years away. Surely he can’t still be banging this drum then. Won’t people be bored of it?

That was the argument with the bus. They didn't care if the figures were attacked, because a conversation about whether it's £300m or £50m doesn't matter. Either way it's a debate on their terms.

He's been banging that drum for many years, and some people will still be racist in four years. I do think they have a ceiling though, and the confidence they've gained recently, is encouraging them to say things that will reinforce it. I'd still bet heavily on Labour being the biggest party at the next election.

Hello - I'm from Dubai and I'm a **** who is out of his depth

Tice is mad. "The world is flat." "No, it isn't." "Are you a scientist? You can't gainsay that without denying free speech. Anyway, balancing several thousand economists with one professor who thought Brexit would kill manufacturing in the UK but still supported Brexit won us that vote so why should I worry?"
