Hardly surprising. Less than 1% of the population are members of any political party.3 days after I asked, not a single person on here has paid £25 to Reform or is too ashamed to admit it.

So none of your subs went towards the likes of legal representation for members if it was required? I was the memebr of a union that wasn't affiliated to any political party. The press and some employers would have you believe that being a member automatically means you are funding a party but that is absolutely not the case.I for one wouldn't pay to be a member/donor of any political party. It really stuck in my throat being forced to pay subs to a union in the 70/80's.
But according to Farage they are making massive strides across all demographics of the population.Hardly surprising. Less than 1% of the population are members of any political party.
I'm sure some of it did but the point was I was forced to pay it regardless of whether I wanted to or not.So none of your subs went towards the likes of legal representation for members if it was required? Ahh, the good old days off the closed shop.I'm sure some of it did but the point was I was forced to pay it regardless of whether I wanted to or not.
But I bet you stayed quiet when the union got you a pay rise or defended you against the management. Like they all do.I for one wouldn't pay to be a member/donor of any political party. It really stuck in my throat being forced to pay subs to a union in the 70/80's.
Yep, the political levy was optional where I worked too. Maybe @maxwellblue didn't realise and has held a grudge ever since for no reason. When I was in a trade union, one could opt not to pay the political levy. So anyone in a union now who is paying it does so voluntarily.
Many companies donate to political parties (mostly the Tories). However, I can't get x% off my payment to Sainsbury's if I don't support the company's stand.
