winding down in life.
for the 4th official to get involved.

following on from our game last week (larsson) and wes brown yesterday and god knows how many other absolute howlers is it not time for someone to insist on that 4th view. yesterday was a no brainer but even 50/50's can be judged from the line in a split second. this product called football and in particular the premier league is just too big and worth far too much money for the outcome to be decided by one referee. lets leave the obvious agenda out of it and assume one or two are honest, its not fair on them to get blasted when it goes tits. at the speed it's played at nowadays they need help. it's there for them yet we ignore it.

had I been poyet yesterday I would have taken my players off. someone somewhere has to make a stand.

bear in mind that like us last week the fans had paid a lot of money and travelled a long way for the game to be decided like that. I said last season I was easing up on aways purely for this reason. you take a day off , spend lots of money only to be dicked by the ref.

other fans will eventually think the same way

i only saw it on tv but it looked like the ref was going to do nothing, in fact there was a delay before he even blew for a foul
i have a feeling that this one was decided by the fourth official

what we need are TV replays

Simple Bill. The cunts need to realise that if they fuck up, they are off the gravy train.

Week in, week out they apply there own slant of the laws on to a game rather than just applying the laws knowing that fuck all will come of their shit and often biased decisions.

The **** from yesterday should sit it out without pay for at least a month and his next offence means no games for a year.

Only this.

95% of the game can be left to the ref but for the game changing decisions, pens, sending offs etc he simply has to have help

the technology is there so use it - the argument the fa use about whatever happens in professional league has to happen at grass roots is bollocks - i never remember playing with linesmen for a start

once again rugby league embarrasses us on this front, anyone see the game yesterday? Not only did the fourth official use cameras to help with the games big decisions, he actually talked the tv audience through his reasoning - so open and transparent, unlike our antiquated systems

Cannot be serious.

Deadly

Humans make mistakes. I find Poyet's OTT indignation on the sideline to be a total embarrassment. If a City manager acted like that, I'd be appalled. To throw your toys out of the pram, take your ball and boo hoo it's not fair so I'm not playing is totally rag-esque.

Yes, it's a wrong decision, yes it's a mistake, but they happen. They have happened for years, get on with the game. Imagine if the Germans had stormed off the pitch when Hurst's goal was felt not to have crossed the line? Closer to home, imagine if City had stopped playing after Vince was sent off v rags? We'd be a laughing stock.

But with transparency out goes the opportunity to manipulate results

I blame the FA really, they make these subtle changes to the rules which leaves everyone including refs in limbo. The FA will look at that challenge yesterday and back the ref saying he was out of control, overly agressive etc etc.... In reality there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I fully support trying to stamp out shocking challenges that could cause injury, like the Laarson one a couple of weeks ago, but with rules being so open to interpretation there are going to always be lots of mistakes like this. Refs are under huge pressure from the FA to fully enforce their rules these decisions will always happen. Without the ability to review a decision and change their mind its always going to happen.
