Refugee crisis

Welcome to 2015 folks; where anything can be explained, justified or debunked with a simple "Google search". Screw context!

Fuuuuuuuuuck me, what's that Doomsday clock reading, and can it hurry up.

I can agree with that Bliar was as bad if not worse than the Tories, but the return to Labours socialist values isn't going to happen over night and in the meantime the resources at the bottom are getting thinner and thinner. Helping the refugees is a priority and we should and have to do something but not at the expense of the poor and homeless which is what will happen.
It's not, and shouldn't be about politics/the right/the left.
Do you think there will be no homeless/poor people in our inner city's if we never allowed another refugee into the country?
Do you think there will be a surplus of resources suddenly available to the have nots in our country if we never allowed another refugee in?

Wales. Perfect destination for a small minded bigot. The place is full of them.

But be careful when you open your mouth. They don't like foreigners coming into their country.
Mmm.
This is unusual, being called a bigot by someone accusing the citizens of a neighbouring country of bigotry.
Which is strange as all the Welsh I know and have known are any thing but, my Mrs is half Welsh.
Stranger still, even though I was a foreigner there, I had a fucking good laugh with all of them, and amazingly,
none of them told me they don't like foreigners coming into their country.
Small minded bigots may think otherwise.

It'll all be blown over by this time next week. If pictures of dead kids really did stir global conscience, surely Palestine would have been free long ago ?

Reading through the thread all you have done is goad the right so don't start telling people it's not about politics. I answered Agueros question he posed me that's why right and left came into it. Stop point scoring and use your brain.

A lor more waffle. What's the point?

The resources are going to become thinner for the poor "Channelling" them means that less funds hit the floor, until we sort our rich out we are not in a position to even help ourselves.

The UK are in a position to help people who have lost everything and have nothing and whose situation makes that of the poorest in the UK look like luxury. That should be all that matters.

I'm truly touched that you've noticed me and what I've posted but you didn't answer my question.

If I wanted to goad the right surely one of the many political treads would be better places to do so? And without knowing certain posters or their political leanings how would I know who to goad? I've only been registered since April.

I notice you haven't been here much longer than me, so how is it you seem to know who leans which way politically? Oh that's it I remember reading a thread the other week where several posters were suggesting you were a previously banned poster who has been continually re-registering under new usernames until they're rumbled, how many new usernames are you up to now? Having just read that thread again it would seem you've been reincarnated on here more times than Buddha my right leaning friend.

DazDon > 101toMR > thehydetiger > yorknomore, rinse, repeat.

You will notice I have never posted a single comment on any of the said threads in the short time I've been on here, all I've done is challenge antiquated views and pick holes in certain posters incorrect information when it has been posted.

I couldn't give to brown ones if you think I'm goading the right with what I've posted in this or any other thread, I judge a tree by the fruit it bears, if the tree leans right or left is of little concern to me. If I see lies posted I'll chip in.

How many of those are in an inhabitable state? How many are lying empty because they've been CPO'd to make way for what paltry development is taking place? How many are empty because their owners died and are still going through the probate process, often by relatives who live miles away?

Trying to fill what empty homes are available and suitable is good, up to a point but would only account for a few months' need. We need millions of new houses, not tens of thousands.

What about all the other things people need? You already have to knock down houses every time you build a new road or railway line. Schools? Shops? Places of work?

Green belt legislation has to go. Planning regs need to be changed so people can't object to or delay new buildings and infrastructure. We will just have to get used to that.
It might just be me but I don't see any reason why the Syrian refugees can't use the same roads and railways as the rest of us do.

Roads get full and it causes traffic jams. Trains get full and there are limits to how many trains you can put on the same line.

That's why you build more roads and railway lines.

I don't think 20,000 extra people spread throughout the UK would lead to us having to rethink our travel system.

As I said a few posts ago, Syrians won't make much difference on their own but net inward migration of 2 to 300,000 as we've had for the last few years will. UK population is forecast to hit 75 million in about 15 to 20 years. Can we support that with current infrastructure? I don't think anyone working in health or education would say we could, nor anyone who drives a car or catches a train.

We won't need to unless you think we won't make any changes to our infrastructure in 20 years.

I'm well aware that infrastructure is being developed which is why I mentioned it in my previous posts. I'm also well aware that there's nowhere near enough development taking place, which is why I mentioned that. Finally I also understand that new building always attracts complaints and appeals, which is why I mentioned that!

the 800,000 that Germay is reported to be taking in i assume they will be given German citizenship and being of German citizenship can travel freely within the European Union and can legally enter the United Kingdom?

as a german i can say, that we will only send those to Britain, whose kids have no football talent.

Because they are adult males they should be fit and able to work? How do you know this? Are you a doctor? Weird statement.
More likely to work than say the elderly and children, I may be wrong but I've just bought some logic and applied it here.

The Doctor should be your new username, I mean you've regenerated more times than him.
