Refused Halal Meat

Ste never came across as a liar to me, seems a nice bloke actually.

Though I think he just got done by a bellend takeaway owner. You do come across these at times

As others have pointed out; it would be incredibly strange to serve both halal and non-halal meat at the same place. Probably just said "here's your halal chicken" to his mate to ensure he knew it was halal and then when Ste questioned him he thought he'd wum him a bit.

The food tends to look pretty much like the food you'd get in any typical Toby/Harvester type place, with one or two dishes you've probably never heard of. Here's the menu from one local restaurant to me: http://www.jsrestaurant.co.uk/images/JSmenu-New june2011.pdf

I'll have the mushrooms to start with a steak and chips for main. Where I am in the East End was originally home to Jewish settlers. Many move on after a while to be replaced by other immigrants. It's happened with South Asians and will inevitably happen with Eastern Europeans who settle here. I know a handful of fellas locally of Jewish descent who don't particularly practice. No different to me and my Anglican upbringing.

On occasions I've experienced rude service in Asian run businesses when the staff will greet other customers like old friends. I just take my custom elsewhere in the future but it's almost aways fine. Nothing to make me want to start some thread on a forum.

I'm usually to be found in Jacques after a match.

Now I have made the drive up to Whitefield on numerous occasions for one of those kebabs. I used to go in there a lot when Nicky used to cut my hair years back as well. Also the Jewish delicatessen next to Nickys even though they did poison half of the Jewish community some years back.

I'm not buying that. Almost every kebab shop I've ever used has certainly been halal and surely the muslim friend (if he has any) wouldn't have need to have been told. Ste's also complained that his chicken was of different quality to the other dish and that doesn't hold water. Kebabish yesterday just took another skewer of chicken tikka and put it on the grill when I made my order.

So according to the OP, his mate gave him the Kosher kebab out of solidarity?

What did his mate do then? Eat the non-Kosher Kebab (and go against his faith's teaching), or go without?

Fucking bollocks...

Just an idea. I find it more likely than Ste being some mad liar or something trying to incite anti-Muslim sentiment on the forum.

it's also worth noting his preference for the halal meat and that his made up story also included his muslamic bezzie.

So the evidence seems to point at this being made up. If that's the case then why?
I Don't think Ste has previous for this kind of thing has he?
It did cross my mind a few weeks ago when he posted (again) about having once been in trouble with the law but then went on to think it was the CPS that do the sentencing. Surely a convicted felon, as the yanks would say, would know enough about how it works to know that was not how it works at all, its the judge who sentences

Same as kosher the blood has to be drained from the animal, which is why eating kosher slaughtered meat is OK to eat for muslims.

The blood is drained from every animal,no matter what religion, difference with Kosher is the animal is not stunned first,it's fully conscious and fully aware what's going on,All the rest stun the animals first so they are unconscious.

It is possible to use that number for all sorts of merry pranks (if you're not lying about it ;-) . just sayin...... I appreciate you are making a point but I'd edit it out the post if I were you.

What a load of uninformed rubbish.
The prayer is what makes the meat halal.
If you don't know what your talking about don't chat shit.

err no. The prayer makes it blessed meat. But each cult/religion has its own term it likes to use hence using halal/kosher. But obviously ur too thick to understand that bit.

the prayer said in hebrew or arabic or even in english is the same thing. All mention GOD term. i.e. God/Allah/El(Elohim)
