Cheers danny. It's a very sensitive subject, as Halal abbatoirs are still very much a taboo area in terms of welfare regulations and inspections. A good friend of mine has been out teaching in Dubai and visited an abbatoir as part of a school trip. The standards there were impeccable and open to anyone who wanted to take a look for themselves. Unfortunately, we seem to be that little bit behind here in the UK.
